Graham McTavish reveals filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is nearly finished
Filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving rather swiftly, and we might see George R. R. Martin’s prediction about the series’ release come to fruition. Various cast and crew members have been spotted by locals and reporters quite recently, despite HBO’s best efforts to keep the filming under the veil. And it seems like Graham McTavish’s latest interview might just confirm the fact that the show is not too far away in 2022.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio 2, McTavish updated fans about the filming of House of The Dragon. He said, “We’ve nearly finished filming, actually. We’ve been filming since March, so it’s been all year, pretty much.”
Keen to reveal more details about the role, Sam Heughan, his co-star from Outlander, asked if Graham would be playing the show’s titular dragon.
“I assure you I am not the dragon, no,” he said to disappointed reactions from Sam. “I know, I wanted to be the dragon, but the part was already taken.”
But he did confirm a fact about his character. He revealed, “I actually made out that his middle name begins with a D. Any character I play, D has to be involved.”
McTavish is set to play Ser Harrold Westerling in House of The Dragon. Are you excited about the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel? Talk to us in the comments below!
