Game of Thrones was an amazing show and kept people hooked for nearly a decade. There have been countless occasions when the series has proved itself to be the best, be it any award shows or a poll, it is considered to be one of the best TV shows of all time. However, the show’s final season was met with a lot of criticism, some felt it was underwhelming, some others felt it was downright outrageous. Well, everyone has their own opinion about the ending, including the stars of the show. For instance, Charles Dance who played the imposing Hand of King Tywin Lannister was almost ready to sign a petition to remake the final season. However, his on-screen son, Peter Dinklage who played Tyrion Lannister, has some other thoughts.

Peter Dinklage is known to be one of the most polite celebrities in the industry, but not many would agree with his sentiments for the Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The majority of the fans who hated season 8 blamed them for a visually rushed and dissatisfying ending, some others blamed George R. R. Martin for his incompetence, for not getting his novels complete before the show ended. Dinklage recently appeared on a recent episode of British talk show Lorraine, and this is what he had to say:

“They [David and Dan] just have a knack for brilliant storytelling, and sometimes more importantly for an actor, brilliant dialogue, especially in Tyrion’s case. It’s so smart, it’s so witty, and so funny. Cause he was always sort of the comic relief of the piece but not being marginalized to just being that.”
