Hannah Murray (Gilly) on multiple endings for Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is a very popular show, and it’s also the most pirated show. Now, that gets ugly at times, like with Season 7, which saw a lot of leaks. HBO has since then put up a lot of security measures to ensure Season 8 doesn’t face the same fate, and it seems to be working till now. One such things is (it is rumoured that) HBO is filming multiple endings to Game of Thrones, and we have heard different opinions about the same. Hannah Murray, who plays the role of Gilly, has now spoken about the same. Read on!

The discussion started when HBO’s President of Original Programming, Casey Bloys first revealed that the production was filming multiple endings. This was confirmed by Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, in an interview shortly thereafter, but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, had dismissed this saying there wasn’t enough room for wastefulness in the budget. More recently, Emilia Clarke said again that the show indeed is filming multiple endings. Now in a recent interview with The Daily Dot, Hannah commented on the multiple endings:

“So I only just heard that for the first time, just today. I don’t—I was not under the impression that there were multiple endings, but I could be wrong and I could be being fooled and I could have [a] completely incorrect idea of how this season ends.”

She also talked about finishing her part of filming for Season 8:

“I finished filming, so I have already have had that kind of very emotional thing of it coming to an end. I mean, obviously, we’re going to do press and we’re all gonna be together at premieres and stuff, but it’s not gonna be the same as actually being on set. The big thing that I just felt very emotional about was the people. And I know I’m gonna keep in touch with some of them but not with everyone. It’s just that thing of going, ‘I’m just so used to coming back here every year and getting to hang out with this amazing cast and crew.’ And just not having that anymore is gonna be a real sadness, I think.”

Well, the more we hear about these multiple endings, the more unsure we become that they actually exist. It could just be HBO trying to troll us all. What do you guys think about it? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
