HBO releases new Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer for 10-year anniversary
Game of Thrones wrapped up filming nearly two years ago. The final season of the show met with a lot of controversies. Even though the show is dubbed the greatest TV show of the 21st century, many fans disliked the rushed ending. Some even petitioned to get it remade. HBO recently released a trailer for season 8 of the show, which doesn’t contain any previously unused footage but is new in the sense that it’s a re-edited version. It’s more of a recap, loaded with special effects, drama, and lavish spectacle of the final season. Watch the trailer right below!
In addition, the Conan O’Brien-hosted Game of Thrones reunion special taped in Northern Ireland in 2018 after production wrapped on the series is now streaming on HBO Max. Previously, it was only available as an extra feature on the complete collection Blu-ray box set of Game of Thrones. But in honour of the upcoming anniversary, HBO has made the special — featuring appearances by Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Sean Bean, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Mark Addy and Jason Momoa — available on its streaming platform.

Love for one’s country is something that is nurtured within us ever since we’re young. This love can be attached to a particular place, the environment or simply the people of that country. It provides you with a sense of belongingness. Game of Thrones’ Liam Cunningham is one of the most famous Irish actors in the world. The 59-year-old actor never fetters from showing his love for his country. He revealed his favourite part of Ireland for a new tourism campaign and it turns out he’s a Munster man at heart.
Cunningham, who played Ser Davos in the epic series, said Cork and Kerry are one “little place with a big heart”.
“My favourite place in Ireland? Well, there’s got to be more than one, it’s a big place – or it’s a little place with a big heart. Two places, the Kingdom – Kerry, it’s heaven on earth – and beautiful West Cork,” he said. He added the world would be a lesser place if either area didn’t exist.
“If they weren’t on the planet, the place probably wouldn’t be worth being in. What I love about Ireland is a no-brainer, it’s the people. When I’m away I miss … bizarrely, I miss the rain – is that weird?”
He revealed his choice in a new video by Tourism Ireland and the Irish Film and Television Academy showcasing Ireland. The actor is also a big fan of Africa, as it helped shape him into an actor.

We have always wondered how it would be like to delve into the world of toons ever since we were kids. There have been many movies on the concept. Space Jam (1996) was a crossover between the world of cartoons and the basketball arena and was widely successful. Warner Bros is bringing the thrill of basketball and the comedy of our favourite cartoons back to the silver screen with Space Jam: A New Legacy. Watch the trailer right below!
Warner Bros. officially released the first trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy, the long-awaited follow-up to the 1996 classic. The movie stars NBA icon, LeBron James. James himself described his Space Jam as a family film, primarily revolving around the relationship between James and his fictional son, Dom. The two find themselves trapped in a virtual reality filled with WB characters and go up against Don Cheadle’s Al-G Rhythm.
Space Jam 2’s trailer gives a subtle nod to various classic WB characters, like Superman, Iron Giant, King Kong etc. The trailer also features the famous globe and the map of Westeros from Game of Thrones. You can clearly spot it in the opening minutes of the trailer, as the ring around the globe spells Game of Thrones. It is similar to the opening theme of the fantasy series.
If you notice closely, you can also find a glimpse of Drogon, Daenerys’ only surviving dragon in the trailer. Whether he plays a role in the movie is still unknown.

Game of Thrones was a story of Kings and Lords, Wars and castles, and most importantly a power struggle. Of the numerous Houses and their Lords, Lord Ramsay of House Bolton was the most sadistic one. Actor Iwan Rheon was relieved when his character died on the show (It was really satisfying as well!). He will once again play a dreadful Lord but in a different franchise. Rheon will play the Dark Elf beastmaster Rakarth of Karond Kar in the Game Total War: Warhammer 2.
Creative Assembly recently revealed the next free Legendary Lord coming to Total War: Warhammer 2, and it’s the Dark Elf beastmaster. In a teaser video, the studio has revealed that the character will be voiced by the Welsh actor.
There could hardly be a better audition for a Dark Elf role than playing Ramsay Bolton, and Rheon’s performance as the cruel and calculating bastard son of Roose Bolton was bone-chilling in the series. In the clip posted to the Total War YouTube account, you can hear every bit of the sociopathy Rheon oozed as Ramsay.
“We have a visitor, Bracchus,” he says, addressing Rakarth’s black dragon companion and battle steed. “Shall we hear them? Or flay them alive?” This is well within normal etiquette for Warhammer’s Druchii, as they call themselves – the Dark Elves are legendary for their cruelty and malevolence.
