Saban Films takes on 'The Vault' movie’s U.S. rights, starring Liam Cunningham

The production of a movie or a series is no easy task. The process utilizes a lot of time and resources, along with hard work and dedication. Even the most successful of shows, like Game of Thrones, faced roadblocks that nearly halted their shooting. Game of Thrones was about to be cancelled after a botched pilot episode. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss had to plead on their knees to get the show on track. (We are thankful they did.) The show’s alum, Liam Cunningham’s movie cleared one such obstacle. The rights to the U.S. release of the movie The Vault has been acquired by Saban Films.

Cunningham plays the role of an art dealer in the movie. Saban Films won the U.S. rights after TF1 studios closed the deal for U.K. and Italy rights.

The story follows Thom (Freddie Highmore), a genius engineering graduate who yearns for excitement. His interest is piqued by the Bank of Spain.

Nobody’s ever managed to break into the bank. Its safe, built over 100 years ago, has no blueprints. Its security system includes an underground river that floods the safe room if breached. Thom and charismatic art dealer Walter (Cunningham) mastermind a meticulous plan to break in to steal a lost treasure.

Another Game of Thrones prequel Tales of Dunk and Egg is on the way!

A series adaptation of Tales of Dunk and Egg, a prequel to the events of Game of Thrones, is in early development at HBO, Variety has learned exclusively from sources. The one-hour show would be based on the series of George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novellas. The story follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and a young Aegon V Targaryen (Egg) 90 years prior to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire.

EW is also saying that HBO is considering several other settings for Thrones spin-offs, like Robert’s Rebellion.

Tales of Dunk and Egg contains three novellas in the series to date: The Hedge Knight in 1998, The Sworn Sword in 2003, and The Mystery Knight in 2010. No writer or talent is currently assigned to the project as of yet.

Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke sells her California house for $4.4 million

The New Year brings with it new hopes and opportunities for everyone around the world. People all over the world are trying to get back on their feet after everything that happened in the Red Wedding year. Many are trying to get a fresh start, including some of Game of Thrones stars. Emilia Clarke, famous for playing Daenerys Targaryen, recently sold off her lavish California home at $4.4 million.

The modern home in Los Angeles’ artsy beachside Venice neighbourhood was truly a fit for the Queen of Dragons. The 2,817-square-foot home was built in 2009. It includes two bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

The gated property features a courtyard with a 30-foot pool and multiple areas for lounging, including a covered space. The front patio has 80-year-old olive trees. The 0.12-acre property offers privacy behind its walls and mature greenery. It is also conveniently close to the beach and hip shopping and dining around the corner on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

Clarke paid $4.6 million for the property in 2016, records show. She put it on the market for just under $5 million in August. It sold just before the end of the year after a price cut in November.

This might indicate Emilia plans to stay in England permanently. Earlier in 2020, Maisie Williams expressed her desire to move to France with her boyfriend. Do you have any such plans? Talk to us in the comments below!
