Drogon did not eat Daenerysâ corpse, confirms Game of Thrones showrunner
Game of Thrones had a bitter ending for Daenerys Targaryen, who was a hero to many of us fans. However, even past her death, there were numerous questions surrounding her, the biggest one of which was: did Drogon eat her dead body after he flew away with it? Now we have an answer.
As we reported, the Game of Thrones full series disc sets are here, and along with have arrived the deleted scenes and commentaries and other specials. As Entertainment Weekly reports, in the âmaking ofâ feature of the series finale, showrunner David Benioff revealed that it was a firm no, after Emilia Clarke revealed that fans had told her dragons eat their masters.
Itâs safe to say that he merely just carried Daenerys to Volantis, as David assured Emilia:
âDrogonâs not going to eat you. Heâs not a cat. Did you see how gently he was nudging you?â
Well, there goes that. Now all we need is a clue that Daenerys was somehow revived and brought back to life, or that Drogon torched her corpse, because the Mother of Dragons just dead in the woods doesnât sound all that great.

Game of Thrones finished months ago but Emilia Clarkeâs career has continued to scale new heights. While promoting her latest movie âLast Christmasâ, Clarke recently spoke to AceShowbiz. She spoke about the holiday season and her modus operandi of celebrations. Read on!
Everybody loves the holiday season and so does the Games of Thrones star Emilia Clarke. She revealed how her mode of celebration varies according to the company:
âWe celebrate every year at home in London. Iâll also meet up with my friends around Christmas time and weâll get drunk togetherâ
Clarke then added:
âBut thatâs a different kind of celebrating â that doesnât happen with the family. My mother would never allow it.â
Well, wasnât that a remarkable revelation from an actress who arguably played the most powerful character on the show! Emilia Clarkeâs portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen A.K.A. Khaleesi on Game of Thrones received critical acclaim and lots of popularity all over.
What do you think about this revelation from our Khaleesi? Let us know in the comments below!
Games of Thrones changed the lives of many of its actors. In one case, it even turned a homeless man into a household name! There were others who literally grew up in front of us, Maisie Williams who played the role of Arya Stark, Sophie Turner who brought Sansa Stark to life and Issac Hempstead Wright who portrayed the role of Bran Stark.
The three youngest members of the cast recently spoke about the show to Complex. Read on!
Issac recalling the first day of the shoot said:
âI can remember my first day of shooting because it just rained non-stop and I was like, âI donât think I can do this. What have I gotten myself into?â
Speaking about his character Bran Stark Issac said:
âI just think he has the most extraordinary story, as a disabled ten-year-old, in one of the most brutal universes ever created, who loses his home and his family⌠and yet, despite all of that, or maybe in fact because of it, he is able to remove himself and dedicate himself to the strange mystical power he has, and actually ends up becoming one of the most powerful characters there is.â
Sophie Turner may be one be the most famous faces on earth now but back when the show began, she was just trying to find her feet. Speaking about her character of Sansa Stark, she said:
âI think [Sansa] is not power-hungry, which automatically makes her a better leader than most people in Game of Thrones, because they get blinded by that power. I think sheâs very diplomatic and fair, politically minded, honest, and sheâs been through the worst and has come out of it on top.â
Sophie also regretted not being able to do too many stunts on the show:
âI would have loved to do proper stunts, because I never really got to work with the stunt team unless it was [when I was] getting beaten. They are an Emmy-award winning stunt team, and I never got to work with them!âÂ
Maisie Williams portrayal of Arya Stark was arguably one of the most appreciated aspects of the show. She also spoke about the tale behind one of the best lines of the last season!
âYou know [series writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] stole that line from an interview I gave. I said Arya would never survive what Sansa survived, and Sansa would never have survived what Arya survived, and then [the characters] said the lines!â
Speaking about the final day of shooting the trio recalled being really emotional.
Issac said:
âI did [cry], I didnât think I was going to,âÂ
âIt was really nostalgic, and very emotional⌠It was just a season of heartbreak. After so many years, it is impossible to say goodbye in the right way,â  Turner recalled.
âItâs impossible to be able to, one, feel all of that in one moment, and two, be able to thank anyone enough. We knew it was going to take a lot of time to set in. Still is.â
Williams added:
Wasnât it fascinating to hear from three of the youngest but most important characters of the show. Which of these three stars did you like the most on the show? Let us know in the comments below!
A successful show has the power to change the lives of those involved with it. Game of Thrones did the same as well, it changed the fortune of its entire team. Emilia Clarke was one of those, her life changed completely over a decade. Clarke played the character of Daenerys Targaryen on the show which turned out to be one of the most famous characters of all time. She recently spoke to The Guardian about what she went through during the show and her life post it. Read on!
When asked about if her illness changed her life, Clarke responded:
âIâm at the point where I definitely think of the brain hemorrhage as a good thing, because I was never destined to be the âyoung actor goes off the railsâ type, up and down the gossip columns. And having a brain hemorrhage that coincided precisely with the beginning of my career and the beginning of a show that became something quite meaty, it gave me a perspective that I wouldnât have had otherwise.â
Clarke had lost her father in 2016, spoke about its impact as well âIâm quite a resilient human being, so a parent dying and brain hemorrhages coinciding with success and people following you in the street and getting stalkers â youâre just, like, âWell letâs try and make something sensible of it.ââ
Clarke had shocked the fans of Game of Thrones a few months ago when she revealed that she was suffering from a life-threatening illness during the early stages of the show. On being asked about it she said she didnât want anyone to think of her as a sick person.
âWell, you know, then. You know the worries. That people will think your soul, your movement, your voice, who you were,â was damaged. âIt was nerve-racking to share it, to be honest. It always is, when you make yourself vulnerable.â She waited so long to talk about it, because, âI didnât want people to think of me as⌠sick.â
Emilia Clarke was recently seen in the movie âLast Christmasâ which turned out to be a Box Office hit. She spoke about how exhausted she felt after Thronesâ run had ended. She said:
âSo, bloated and exhausted I went away for two weeks with my best girlfriend, [The Good Fight star] Rose Leslie, and it was in this retreat in India that I suddenly got it. This is what stopping feels like. And I was able to finally⌠be kind to myself.â
After all that she had to go through, the kind of performance that Emilia Clarke gave for Game of Thrones seems unbelievable. Let us know your views in the comments section!
