Game of Thrones had a fantastic Season 6, and being equally loved by fans and critics alike, has been nominated in at least one category for almost every award that considers the genre in which Game of Thrones is. The latest bit is that one of the best episodes of Game of Thrones till date, Battle of the Bastards, has bagged the show multiple Golden Reel Awards nominations.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) just announced the 64th Annual Golden Reel Awards. Battle of the Bastards gathered a total of three nominations for Game of Thrones.
The first category where Game of Thrones is nominated is TV Short Form – Dialogue, with Supervising Sound Editor, Tim Kimmel, and Supervising ADR Editor, Tim Hands being the nominees. Other nominees include Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Penny Dreadful III, Shooter, The Shannara Chronicles, The Walking Dead and Westworld.
Next, is TV Short Form – FX/Foley, Supervising Sound Editor, Tim Kimmel; Foley Editors, Brett Voss and John Matter; Foley Artists, Jeffrey Wilhoit and Dylan Wilhoit; Sound Designer, Paula Fairfield and Sound Effects Editor, Bradley Katona being the nominees. They will be competing against Black Sails XX, Better Call Saul, American Horror Story: Roanoke, Marco Polo, Narcos, Stranger Things and Westworld.
The last nomination is for Music Editor, David Klotz in the TV Short Form Music Score category. The other nominees in the category are Animal Kingdom, Arrow, Just Add Magic, Lethal Weapon, Luke Cage, Quantico, and Stranger Things.
The Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on February 19. Check out the full list of nominees, below.
