Watch the Mountain starring in a brand new KFC commercial
August 28th, 3:03am August 28th, 3:03am Abhinav Pathak22, Game of Thrones geek, Passionate Fiction Writer and the author of ‘Gopalkant’s Wife’.
Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the actor who plays the Mountain A.K.A. Gregor Clegane in the Game of Thrones TV series wears many hats. He not only is an actor but also the world’s strongest man. ‘Cleganebowl’ – the much-hyped duel of the Hound and the Mountain might be a wishful thinking for all fans. But, Hafþór won’t easily let his fans down.
He recently starred in a funny KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) commercial where he played “Double” Colonel Sanders and dragged 700 pounds of Double Crispy Colonel Sandwiches. The ease with which Hafþór dragged the heavy cart of sandwiches was really jaw-dropping for all fans.
This isn’t the first time when Hafþór appeared in a funny commercial. Back in 2016, he had appeared in a funny commercial for SodaStream titled “Shame or Glory” He along with Hannah Waddingham – the actress who played Septa Unella in the show took the advertisement to a new level.
The advertisement started with a guy who went to a shopping mall to buy plastic bottles of sparkling water for the Mountain. He was shame-chased out of the mall by Septa Unella who rang the bell and called out “Shame!” just in the same way she did during Cersei’s walk of atonement. When the guy reached the mountain, he scolded him for buying plastic bottles and harming Mother Nature. He then gave us a demo for the SodaStream machine that lets you carbonate water on your own.
The funny commercial ended with both the actors packing up and as Septa Unella put down the veil that was covering her head, the mountain smiled and called out, “Holy Mother Earth!” admiring her beauty.
