More news keeps pouring in for Game of Thrones lovers as the prequel House of The Dragon is fast on track for its release in 2022. The recent developments taking place at various filming sites indicate the show might be here sooner than we expected. With a lot of potential, and a promise to restore HBO to its former glory, the streaming network is leaving no stone unturned to make the series as majestic as it can be. They have already added various new locations, such as the Stone City of Portugal. While back in the UK, recently a huge castle set was noticed by the residents of Watford at the Warner Bros studios. And its colour and architecture hinted it was for the Game of Thrones prequel.

The latest film studio backlot extension can easily be seen by passers-by and motorists on Watford Road and the A41, as reported by the local Watford newspaper Watford Herts London. There is no confirmation as of yet, since HBO hasn’t provided any statement, as it is evident from the fact they like to keep their productions under cover until they are officially released. However, the red colour of the huge set only points towards one similar structure we saw in Game of Thrones, the Red Keep.red-keep-2

Moreover, the newspaper also reported that WB warned residents that filming, which took place for 9 days ending on July 6, would involve SFX such as smoke, controlled fires, and wind machines. This closely resembles dragonfyre, and probably one of the famous dragon vs dragon fights took place here. There are several candidates for this scene. If the above-mentioned shot took place in King’s Landing, it might be a scene from either of the two battles of Tumbleton. It might also be a scene from the Storming of the Dragonpit, but we will have to wait and see.
