Rose Leslie begins a new investigation in Vigil Season 2 official trailer

The entertainment industry has gained a number of talented actors from Game of Thrones. Among them is Rose Leslie, who appeared in the show as Ygritte. Her fierce interpretation of Ygritte garnered her a devoted following worldwide. Her relationship with Kit Harrington, a.k.a. Jon Snow, was incredibly natural. Leslie is back to the TV screens after welcoming her second child earlier this year. She will next be seen in BBC’s Vigil Season 2.

What is Vigil about?

Tom Edge, who wrote the Netflix comedy Lovesick and was nominated for a BAFTA for the feature film Judy, is the writer of Vigil. The directors will be Shetland’s Isabelle Sieb and Broadchurch’s James Strong. Season 2 of Vigil, which follows Suranne Jones’s investigator Amy Silva as she investigates a death on board a submarine, is almost upon us more than two years after the show’s premiere.

In this upcoming season, Amy will delve into the realm of drone warfare while looking into the source of several strange fatalities. Additionally, it will go deeper into the dynamic between Amy and her partner and coworker Kirsten Longacre, portrayed by Rose Leslie, who is now expecting a child in the upcoming season.

What is the release date for Vigil Season 2?

Vigil season two will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on December 10, 2023.
