Filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving very swiftly, as evident from the frequent leaks we’re witnessing with every passing day. Though HBO has been mum about revealing any more info about the show, these periodic leaks are causing waves of excitement amongst the fans, as they’re left wondering and speculating who’s who in the new set pictures. Here’s one of the theories we have been pondering about looking at the most recent leaks, the crew of House of The Dragon is gearing up for a tourney being held for Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon’s wedding celebrations.

There are plenty of factors that point towards the above conclusion. One, in the last few days, we have seen a few leaks showing a young Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon taking a walk together on a beach. Two, we recently had more pictures of Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen filming on set, one in Royal costume and the newest ones in Targaryen battle gear. Props for his dragon Caraxes were not spotted as well, and since he mostly rides Caraxes for a battle, it seems more than likely that he’s donning the armour for a tourney.

Also, there were pictures of a Targaryen camp being set up, close to the place where Daemon Targaryen was spotted in costume. There are not many soldiers in the view, so it doesn’t seem to be like a preparation for war.

However, one of the flaws to the theory is that in the book, the tourney was held at King’s Landing, while all the shots above have been taken close to a beach. Tell us about your theories in the comments below!
