Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) says he doesn’t miss Game of Thrones
There are times when you spend so much time at a job, it becomes the definition of what you can do. Everyone desires change once in a while. The completion of Game of Thrones was a welcome change in actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s life. While fans still miss the show, the actor, who played Jaime Lannister on the show, revealed in an interview he doesn’t.
Coster-Waldau was in an interview with The Kelly Clarkson Show. He admitted that what he misses most about the show is the friends he made over the period of 9 years while filming it. He said,
“I think we’ve told the story. I miss my friends, right? So you spend eight, nine years, almost 10 years together… you make friendships. So I miss them.”
He recalled of his fond memories of some of the younger cast members, including Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, who played Sansa Stark and Arya Stark respectively.
“They were kids when they started out. You have this whole growth… they became young adults on that show.”
Nikolaj further said being on the set was always fun. He added,
“It’s an incredible, intense experience. Also, when the show becomes as successful as it did, that’s a whole different challenge, if you will. But inside the bubble, it was always a bit of fun.”
Coster-Waldau talked about some other topics as well. One being his role in the upcoming movie “The Silencing”. He plays the role of a hunter who seeks justice for his murdered daughter. With his set of acting skills, he is sure to shine bright in the movie. He also spoke about his work as a UN Goodwill Ambassador focusing on preventing climate change.
