A new chance for Game of Thrones’ fans to relive their fantasies is about to open in Northern Ireland. A £24m Game of Thrones attraction center in Co Down is being set up by Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge. It will be developed under license with Warner Brothers Consumer Products.

The tour will be another stop for fans of the fantasy TV series who, pre-COVID, loved to visit spots like Ballintoy Harbour, Castle Ward, and the Dark Hedges to follow in the footsteps of characters. The tourist attraction will feature sets from King’s Landing and Winterfell.

The Linen Mill Studios have now received planning permission. The tour is expected to pull in 600,000 visitors and generate £400m in revenue per year. It will help in the recovery of the tourism industry post-COVID-19, as tourism is estimated to have lost 50% of its 2019 £1bn revenues.

The show was filmed here between 2009 and 2018 by HBO. It was adapted from George R.R. Martin’s famous novel A Song of Ice and Fire. Linen Mill Studios want the venue to embody the entertainment, drama, and quality which made Game of Thrones the most pirated TV show in history.

Some of the most iconic scenes of the show were shot at the studio. The fans will have an opportunity to visit and see the work of the show’s incredible crew in a museum setting. Apart from the set, the tour will also feature a make-up and prosthetics shop for the guests. There will also be a restaurant to relive the studio catering experience.

Music is known as food for the soul. Even those who can’t read or write understand the language of music. Humanity has relied on music since ancient times as one of the best ways of relaxation. It calms the nerves and sometimes even helps you concentrate better. Game of Thrones hired some of the finest talents on the planet who helped make the show great. The music composer for the series, Ramin Djawadi, produced some of the finest tunes for the show. He will be getting back to the Game of Thrones universe with his scores for the prequel, House of The Dragon.

There were several controversial moments in the series, but Ramin’s epic music was constant throughout the run. His amazing sense of melody earned him back-to-back Emmy Awards. Djawadi won two Emmy Awards in the category Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for his work on the soundtracks of season 7 and season 8. He is also known for movie scores like Pacific Rim, Iron Man and Warcraft. He was also nominated for Grammy Awards in 2009, 2018, and 2020.

The world is a boxing ring where you fight to keep yourself on your feet. People all around the world had to box really hard through the Red Wedding year 2020. The new year comes with huge expectations and promise. Game of Thrones’ Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson has already started preparing for the bouts he has to face (quite literally). The strongman faced Irish boxer, Steven Ward, in an exhibition match and astonished everyone with his skills.

The duo went head to head at a sold-out Conrad Dubai on Friday. As it was an exhibition match, there was no victor declared. Ward was knocked down by Björnsson in the second round of the match. However, he bounced back in the final round with a flurry of punches that left Björnsson with a bloody nose.

Thor was full of praise for cruiserweight Ward after the lively draw: “Steven is unbelievable. I doubt many people would want to step into a ring with someone my size. Stevie has a big heart. To come here and do this exhibition with me means a lot. I needed that experience. Steven is the same height as my opponent in September, and this was great.”

Björnsson will face long time rival Eddie Hall later in September this year in Las Vegas. Are you excited about the World’s Heaviest Boxing match? Talk to us in the comments below!
