Natalie Dormer takes fans behind the scenes in the new Penny Dreadful: City of Angels clip
The new Penny Dreadful series starring Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer is all set to release next month. During the time when the production and release of various films and series’ are getting postponed due to Coronavirus, the news of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels releasing as per schedule comes as a relief.
The trailer of the series was released a couple of weeks ago and it really piqued the interest of the audiences. Now, in the latest sneak peek video Dormer and the cast can be seen speaking about the show.
In the series, Dormer is playing a shape-shifting demon that has issues with mankind and creates chaos in the 1930s Los Angeles. Speaking about her character to Entertainment Weekly, Dormer had said that she would be taking three different guises on the show. “The audience will discover who those identities are as they continue to watch the show.”

In the video, Dormer’s character Magda can be seen predicting the future and says there will be a time “when the nation will battle the nation when the race will devour race and when brother will kill brother.”
The cast also spoke about the show, that while it is dealing with supernatural forces, it is also dealing with the demons residing inside the characters as well.
The official synopsis of the series states:
“When a grisly murder shocks the city, Detective Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) and his partner Lewis Michener (Nathan Lane) become embroiled in an epic story that reflects the rich history of Los Angeles: from the building of the city’s first freeways and its deep traditions of Mexican-American folklore to the dangerous espionage actions of the Third Reich and the rise of radio evangelism. Before long, Tiago and his family are grappling with powerful forces that threaten to tear them apart.”
Penny Dreadful: City of Angels is going to premiere on April 26 at 10/9c only on Showtime.
