Michiel Huisman on whether Daario Naharis will return in Game of Thrones Season 8

When we look back at the journey of Daenerys Targaryen, we see that she has gained a number of supporters since the last seven seasons.  One of them is Daario Naharis whom we saw being left alone in Meereen to maintain peace. We expected to see this brave confidant of Daenerys in the Seventh Season too, but just like Ghost, he didn’t get any screentime. Well, Michiel Huisman – the actor who plays Daario in the series recently talked to Digital Spy about this. Read on.

Now the question is, will he make an appearance in the final season of Game of Thrones? We were waiting for Huisman’s reply on this for a long time as he was already on our list of the character who disappeared from the series. And, he did break the silence in an interview with the Digital Spy saying, “…well, not much really.” He then added:

“I can’t wait to see the finale…I don’t know what to say. I shouldn’t spoil anything so I’m not gonna tell you.”

Does nobody have any guesses on what happened with Daario’s character after the season six finale? Some fans and YouTubers think he will come back as a lieutenant of the Golden Company to join the fray of defeating the White Walkers. Also, some think he will betray Daenerys when he finds out that she now loves Jon Snow. Well, Dany had bid him a farewell, asking him to stay in Meereen to keep the peace in the episode ‘The Winds of Winter’ and that was when we last saw him.

Though Huisman didn’t have much to say about his character, his comment, “…well, not much really” was enough for all fans to make their own predictions. He also said that the time he spent with Game of Thrones was a “fantastic experience”. According to him,

“I learned a lot…It created so many opportunities that otherwise might have taken a lot longer. [I] like being part of this show.”
