Maisie Williams teases Arya Stark’s Game of Thrones Season 7 storyline | Wiki of Thrones
Game of Thrones Season 7 is just few days away, and we could not be more excited. While we are almost at the end of the long wait, the hype around us is still way too much to be ignored. In the string of cast interviews that have been rolling out back to back, is one from Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, and she very subtly teased what’s ahead for her character in Season 7. Read on!
Maisie Williams recently sat down with The Times to talk about Game of Thrones Season 7, and her character. Speaking about how it is going to be for Arya, going forward, she said :
“Ummm…I can’t say anything. Things are looking up for Arya. She gets her own way a little bit, which is nice, because she’s had such a tough journey. But,… they’re also bittersweet at the same time. Dot, dot, dot.”
Now, we know Game of Thrones is a show with a lot of sex, and in that universe, Maisie plays a character that has escaped sexualisation. So will she make it to the end of the show without having to strip? Maisie replied with a laugh :
“I might manage it, you know.”
She also spoke about how being on the show, while being so young, and how it changed her :
“At 12, I was fearless and didn’t care, so I really enjoyed it. But then, as each season passed, the pressure built and it became a little destructive. Everyone goes through that dip in confidence. That also came with puberty. It all fizzled out a bit, and I lost my confidence and now I’m slowly starting to get it back again.
But the first two years were weird. I was having the time of my life, but I look back and I think I wasn’t really very happy because I didn’t have many friends. I had left school and I was working a lot and it was a strange time. I remember in maybe season 2 or 3 [when she was 14 or 15], other cast members coming up to me and saying, ‘Your life is going to change’, and to me that wasn’t exciting. I was, like, ‘I don’t want it to change, I quite enjoy my life.’”
Well, it looks like Arya has quite a season ahead of her. Do you think she will get to cross more names off her list, this season? Hit us with the predictions, in the comments, down below!
