Liam Cunningham says it's wrong to consider Arya Stark as a role model

Game of Thrones has always been a show that has played with moral ambiguity. The characters in focus walk the line between good and bad, and we have always had trouble liking many characters by pegging them as good, and hating them by pegging them as bad. The show’s magical work with characters and their moral compasses is what has made it such a hit. In a recent bit, Liam Cunningham talked about how one of the most loved characters on the show, Arya Stark, and how she isn’t a role model, but rather a serial killer. Read on!

Liam Cunningham recently met up with Rolling Stones. He did a segment called the Fan Theory Exploder, and discussed a few fan theories. The segment has him discuss various fan theories, Check out the video, below :

Speaking of whether Arya and Sansa will go on a pervert hunt like they hunted down Littlefinger, Liam said :

“Let me throw something out here people. There’s a lot of young ladies I speak to and I go, “what do you think of the ladies”’ they go ‘oh Arya, Maisie Williams character, she’s such a great role model. ‘And I go, okay let me stop you there. She’s a serial killer. And a lot of young ladies are using her as a role model…in five, 10 years time, let’s not examine where that might go.”
