Several videos are now available on HBO’s official YouTube channel that give a greater insight into the season 7 premiere, “Dragonstone”. Some of these videos are unlisted, so you won’t be able to find them by searching HBO’s playlists. Luckily, we have them all for you here.
First, HBO has uploaded the behind-the-scenes video that is viewable directly following the episode. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss weigh in on Arya’s epic opener, the Hound’s character evolution, tension between Jon and Sansa at Winterfell, Cersei’s lust for power, and Daenerys’ long-anticipated homecoming.
Next, PilouAsbæk, Nikoalj Coster-Waldau, and Lena Headey talk about Euron Greyjoy’s proposal. Hearing these three actors talk about such strong personalities and ambitions certainly raises excitement about Euron’s mysterious gift and what might happen next.
Finally, Emilia Clarke, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Peter Dinklage take a look at Dany’s arrival at Dragonstone. The first Targaryen returning to Westeros is a pretty big deal (not including Jon of course, who still knows nothing). Dinklage’s remarks on Tyrion’s relationship with Daenerys also spark some interest. What “complications” could he be talking about?
Here’s a quick teaser for what we have to look forward to this coming Sunday, July 23rd.
And finally, here is the preview for the next few episodes that aired this weekend at ComicCon. Caution: SPOILERS.
