KFC recreates the ‘Hold The Door’ scene with Kristain Nairn in it’s latest commercial

Game of Thrones has its set of emotionally harrowing moments, and one of the major ones happened last season, when Hodor had his story revealed. We saw the origins of Wylis, who had himself affected by Bran Stark‘s time loop. Hodor died trying to save Bran, by holding the door, a moment that reverberated back in time to affect his younger self to speak only on word, Hodor. In a new video commercial for KFC, Kristain Nairn, who played the role of Hodor on the show, faces a similar moment, but with a funny take. Read on!

The advertisement is titled “Lunchtime Is Coming…,” and aims at the new offering by KFC in the U.K. : “Ricebox.” Watch it below :

Kristain plays the counter boy at a KFC, waiting for a rush of costumers to come to him, all ordering the same item, “chicken and fries.” A Hodor-y Kristain then turns his back to the bunch of costumers as he shouts the order to the kitchen, repeated several times over, until it turns to “chicken and rice,” and voilà! KFC Ricebox is introduced!
