The first season of House of the Dragon has left fans wanting more, and the show had been renewed for a second chapter even before the season finale aired. It might be some time for the second season to finally be here, as it takes a lot of hard work, planning, patience, coordination between various departments, and a big budget. While the second season is still in pre-production, a new writer has joined the crew to help speed up the process.

Who is the new writer who joined House of The Dragon?

David Hancock, who served as an executive producer in the first season of House of The Dragon, will now be serving as a writer as well. Hancock is writing two of the eight episodes in Season 2, according to the info on his agency website. He has also worked on the popular TV series The Crown for seasons 1-4, writing several episodes.
