Here’s what fans have to say about the wedding ceremony in House of The Dragon Episode 5
The fifth episode of Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is finally here. The events that followed the scandalous night after Daemon Targaryen’s return to King’s Landing showed a lot of compromises being made for the sake of the realm’s peace. However, there’s an underlying tension bubbling silently under those compromises, waiting to burst out. It was reflected in the Royal Wedding, a seemingly joyous celebration that ended tragically. Though not as traumatic as the Red Wedding, it was as chaotic as a riot, resulting in a few injuries, and death.
Here’s how the fans reacted to the disturbing wedding sequence of House of The Dragon episode 5:

People worried HOUSE OF THE DRAGON would feel "small" after GAME OF THRONES, but weirdly that's the best thing about it. It's actually refreshing to watch an expensive show with smaller, human-level stakes: courtly duties, petty marriage concerns, political nuisances. I love it. pic.twitter.com/mwECfKwNKY

I definitely thought we were getting Red Wedding on House of Dragons & instead Sir Criston kills Leanor’s lover. So that’s the end of the open marriage plot? ? #HouseOfTheDragon

Episode #4 House of The Dragon made me revisit these interesting articles about local version of arranged political marriage. pic.twitter.com/j5qlXyW4gZ

Another great episode of ‘House Of The Dragon’ and yet another shocking, tragic wedding. In Westeros, marriage proves fatal for certain people.

House of the Dragon once again proves the GoT universe is just an amalgam of LoTR, The Crown and Saw, which is about as attractive a proposition as an incestuous Targaryen marriage.
It's not fantasy that fucks, it's fantasy that does torture porn.

Naw naw when it comes to marriages House of the Dragon moves INSANE ??

The House of Dragon S01E05 cannot compete with the Red Wedding. Though the story behind the arranged marriage is more sinister, The House of Dragon’s wedding scene is too childish. The end justifies the means I suppose.
Rule #1 of fantasy, don’t assume our customs/laws apply.

House of the Dragon Episode 5 was like a typical Bollywood movie:
1. Naach Gaana at a wedding
2. Saas-Bahu Drama
3. Heartbroken lover
4. Annoying Uncle
5. Epic fight between positive and negative characters
6. Father worried about his daughter's marriage— Sensei Kraken Zero (@YearOfTheKraken) September 19, 2022
