Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) has fully recovered from COVID-19!
Game of Thrones stars have graduated from the show, and are getting more and more love with each passing day, while enjoying the success that the series opened up for them. However, of late there have been a couple of unfortunate happenings, mostly related to the Coronavirus crisis. We had recently reported that Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju was diagnosed with a Coronavirus infection. Now, we have some good news on that front — Hivju has revealed that he has now recovered from COVID-19. Read on!
Nearly a month ago, we had reported that Kristofer Hivju, who played the role of Tormund Giantsbane on Game of Thrones had tested positive for Coronavirus. The star had broken the news on his Instagram page, revealing that him and his wife had mild symptoms and were quarantined. He again took to Instagram to give us the good news of their recovery:
It seems that Hivju and his wife were lucky enough to only suffer mild symptoms of the disease, and have fully recovered now. Hivju also noted that not only did they do several weeks in quarantine, they also did a couple more weeks even after the symptoms had disappeared, as the protocol requires.
While Hivju has recovered, unfortunately he wasn’t the only Game of Thrones star to test positive for Coronavirus. Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand) had also tested positive, and she was even in close proximity of Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) right before testing positive. However there has been no news of Indira recovering yet, so keep our stars in your thoughts!
