Game of Thrones season 7: The Mountain arrives in Belfast

Game of Thrones season 7 filming is getting closer and closer as we keep spotting the actors arriving in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the initial script reading takes place along with a chunk of filming. After Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) were all spotted very recently in Belfast, another actor has also bee sighted!
And it is none other thanHafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the actor who plays Ser Gregor Clegane aka the Mountain on Game of Thrones. He posted a picture on his Instagram, captioning that he was enjoying dinner in Belfast.
Since the Mountain was a vital character when it came to Cersei Lannister’s life, we hope that he’s got a major role to play in season 7 now that Cersei has been crowned as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Who knows, perhaps he’s going to be protecting her fiercely when Daenerys Targaryen marches onto King’s Landing. Since we can’t say anything for sure right now, all we can do is wait, but it does seem likely that more actors will be arriving very soon to Belfast!
