Game of Thrones fan created a Kickstarter campaign to create Hodor doorstops

Game of Thrones season 6 started with major plot twists, which continues even until the 8th episode of the season. However, one of the most heartbreaking and unexpected twists was that of Hodor’s death through the Wights. Our beloved adorable giant died in the 5th episode, ‘The Door’, while trying to save Bran Stark and Meera Reed, and Hodor became a legendary character in our eyes.
As a tribute to Hodor and his tragic sacrifice, an ardent fan started a Kickstarter campaign called Hodoor (Hold The Door) Tribute Doorstop. The description of this campaign goes like this: “My friends and I are huge GoT nerds. We know more about Westeros history than… actual history. We all agreed Hodor should be the one to sit on the Iron Throne until we watched the ending of season 6 episode 5. As a tribute to this oversized and simple-minded hero, we are creating this 6” “Hodoor” Hold the Door Doorstops. Yes, it actually works as a real doorstop. We’ve already hired multiple designers (with over 20 years of combined experience) to bring this idea to life. The final version will be a, 6″ tall “Hodoor” doorstop guaranteed to impress even the nerdiest GoT Fan.”
These fans are now applying for a license to boost their project, and in case it doesn’t work out, whoever pledged for this campaign will be refunded. At the moment the the funding has been cancelled but we hope that the Hodor door stopper idea becomes a reality soon.
