Emma D’Arcy and House of The Dragon predicted to be nominated for Best Actress & Best Drama at Emmy 2023
For the past couple of months, HBO has been ruling the television circuit with incredible shows that are breaking record after record. While 2022 ended with the blockbuster Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon, the beginning of this year has been even better with a bigger hit, the TV adaptation of the video game The Last of Us. And both of these shows are frontrunners at this year’s Emmy Awards, according to a prediction by Variety.
Variety has predicted that Emma D’Arcy and House of The Dragon will be among the top nominations in Best Actress and Best Drama categories, respectively. The complete list of predicted nominations is as follows:
Best Drama Series: “Andor” (Disney+), “The Crown” (Netflix), “House of the Dragon” (HBO), “The Last of Us” (HBO), “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” (Amazon Prime Video), “Succession” (HBO), “The White Lotus” (HBO), and “Yellowjackets” (Showtime)
Predicted Winner: “Succession” (HBO)
Best Lead Actor (Drama Series): Jeff Bridges “The Old Man” (FX), Brian Cox “Succession” (HBO), Diego Luna, “Andor” (Disney+), Bob Odenkirk, “Better Call Saul” (AMC), Pedro Pascal “The Last of Us” (HBO), and Jeremy Strong “Succession” (HBO).
Predicted Winner: Brian Cox “Succession” (HBO)
Best Lead Actress (Drama Series): Emma D’Arcy “House of the Dragon” (HBO), Lily-Rose Depp “The Idol” (HBO), Melanie Lynskey “Yellowjackets” (Showtime), Elisabeth Moss “The Handmaid’s Tale” (Hulu), Bella Ramsey “The Last of Us” (HBO), and Imelda Staunton “The Crown” (Netflix).
