Emilia Clarke says Jorah Mormont has always been the one for Daenerys Targaryen

Although the characters in Game of Thrones aren’t aware about the fact that Jon Snow is the legitimate child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, making him a dragon kid, the rest of the world knows the most important truth of the show. In the latest episode of season 7, Eastwatch, we saw Daenerys returning from the fiery battle to Dragonstone where she lands upon Drogon on a cliff right before Jon Snow. What we saw next was a brilliant scene where Jon reached out and petted Drogon, making it apparent that he is a Targaryen through and through. But Dany doesn’t know that, so her reaction to this stranger King in the North petting her ferocious dragon should be an interesting aspect.
Actors Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Iain Glen (Ser Jorah) discussed this pivotal moment of the plot in a behind-the-scenes video.
“She sees his interaction with her dragons and it’s an attractive quality for her,” said Emilia. “Busted! Me and Jon Snow just chillin’ on a cliff by ourselves. Don’t read into it…”
“I think it’s one of the most important scenes this season,” Iain Glen added.
Emilia also talked about Dany’s reunion with Jorah and what it meant to her. “It’s one of the most tender moments that you’ll see from Daenerys this season, because the thing about Ser Jorah is that he has been the one from the very beginning. And I think he has an ability to see right through her,” she said.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the upcoming episode where Jon and Jorah along with a few others are headed beyond the Wall to capture a Wight and bring it as proof for Cersei Lannister. Whether they both survive this and how Dany and Jon’s relationship develops is also a mystery. What do you guys think about Emilia Clarke’s comments? Tell us in the comments!
