The sight of dragons has been borne with fear, anticipation, and excitement in Game of Thrones. Whether you’re going to get killed by the beast, witness it as a bystander or ride it like our Targaryen heroes, one’s breath draws blood and awe through the veins. House of the Dragon promises us all that and more. It is still in the distance, but intent on arriving soon. After the news of its likely premiere in 2022, we now hear that a round of casting calls has gone out for the show. And it’s the three-headed dragon we’re looking at!

Knight Edge Media has reported that a casting call is out for the prequel series by HBO. No wonder, we see Targaryens reign supreme:

Aegon Targaryen

20s, Caucasian Male. Married his two sisters VISENYA and RHAENYS. Withdrawn, quiet, pious. Harsh with those who defy him. Riding the dragon Balerion. LEAD

Visenya Targaryen

20s, Caucasian Female. Older sister and wife of King AEGON TARGARYEN. A voluptuous, stern, serious, and unforgiving woman. Riding the dragon Vhagar. LEAD

Rhaenys Targaryen

20s, Caucasian Female. Youngest sister of King AEGON TARGARYEN. Kindhearted, graceful, playful, curious, impulsive, and given to flights of fancy, with a mischievous aspect to her personality. Riding the dragon Meraxes. LEAD

So, one can guess that House of the Dragon will begin with Aegon’s Conquest of Westeros; and that season 1 will lean upon the three Targaryen siblings/partners who rose to power around each other laying the foundations of Targaryen-rule over the seven kingdoms. Since the prequel is set to follow George R.R. Martin‘s Fire & Blood, it’s also safe to assume that their actions will trigger a chain of events that’s likely to culminate in the civil war of the Dance of the Dragons; a mayhem of bloodlust and dragonfire that sent the Targaryens and dragons into near extinction.

Ryan Condal and George R.R. Martin will create House of the Dragon (set 300 years before the start of Game of Thrones) while Miguel Sapochnick and Condal will be showrunners. Sapochnik is also supposed to direct the pilot episode. Moreover, a bright crop of young writers, namely Wes Tooke, Claire Kiechel, and Ti Mikkel have assisted the writing process of the creators.

With the casting call, the House of the Dragon seems to blow the conch-shell for the beginnings of Targaryen legacy. We hope that the sound is heard loud and clear, thus wishing the spectacle good luck for the journey ahead. What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments.

The universe is a boundless reel of the fabric where we paint our stories with the colour of opportunity. We often get lost in the beauty of the cosmos, staring at the night sky. However, the beauty hides dangers that are unknown to man. Strange phenomena like Supernovas or Black Holes blow up entire galaxies. Even something as little as an asteroid can cause massive destruction on earth. Discovery brings to you these deadly wonders in the form of a drama in Killers of The Cosmos. The series stars Game of Thrones alum Aidan Gillen, who played Petyr Baelish on the epic fantasy.

The six-part series is being produced by Warner Bros-owned UK production company Wall To Wall. Gillen will play a detective who hunts down existential threats to humanity. The production has shot across the U.S. during the coronavirus pandemic. Filming is still underway, though post-production has begun on the show.

Killers of The Cosmos is a specialist factual series with a graphic novel-like twist. Discovery declined to comment on Killers Of The Cosmos. It is likely to premiere the show next year.

Aidan Gillen is a celebrated actor famous for his versatility. He will also appear on Irish crime drama Kin. Are you excited about Aidan’s new project? Talk to us in the comments below!

Artists with extreme talent increase the attraction of the crowd to a show by manifold. Game of Thrones was the biggest show of the decade, it’s prequel is sure to cause a stir. HBO is leaving no stone unturned in creating hype for the show’s prequel House of The Dragon. After announcing Paddy Considine as King Viserys for the series, the network has added to the hype by casting for more important roles. Matt Smith, who will play Daemon Targaryen, is one of them.

Smith has already made headlines as the eleventh incarnation of Doctor Who. He has already been cast for Marvel’s Morbius as well. HBO is going really hard for this show, going for the best actors. After all, they have to live up to Game of Thrones’ reputation!

Daemon Targaryen is the younger brother to the King Viserys Targaryen. He is described as a middle-aged man, between 40 to 50 years of age. He was in line to the throne, but he never expressed his desire for it directly. The Prince is said to be constantly obsessed with earning the love and acceptance of his brother, the King. He gets bored very easily but is really skilled with a sword. He is a seasoned warrior who keeps swinging between good and vile nature.

Besides Matt as Deamon Targaryen, HBO has cast two more key players: Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy. They’ll play Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen respectively.
