In a recent discussion with James Hibberd from The Hollywood Reporter, David Benioff and Dan Weiss shared details about a decoration in their office. The item in question is an oversized, knitted medieval tapestry.

Actress Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, gifted this tapestry to them with references to the fantasy show. The tapestry features various inscriptions, each containing a touch of Emilia Clarke’s playful sense of humor.

Among these inscriptions, one playfully suggests “more blood, less clothes,” alluding to the show’s notorious portrayals of sex and violence.

Along with these light-hearted jokes is a subtle nod to George R. R. Martin, the author of A Song of Ice and Fire, which inspired Game of Thrones.

The tapestry mentions “House Martin,” with the House words stating “Unwritten.” This phrase refers to Martin’s writing process for his yet-to-be-released book, The Winds of Winter, a creative endeavor that has spanned over 13 years.
