Kristian Nairn (Hodor) wants to play Solomon Grundy in the DC Universe

Warner Bros/Discovery has gone through a lot of changes ever since the two joined hands for a partnership. While a lot of projects have been shelved at HBO which include several Game of Thrones spinoffs, the DCU universe had its programming completely renewed after the arrival of former MCU director James Gunn. And a Game of Thrones alum wants to be a part of Gunn’s new DCU.

What characters does Kristian Nairn want to play in the DCU?

In a recent interview with ComicBookMovie, Nairn gushed about how big of a comic book nerd he is. He said, “I am a huge superhero fan. I have a tattoo of Thor on my arm. I’m an original fan from the comics and a big Marvel and DC fan.”

“If we’re going to stick with the types I could play…obviously, they can do anything with CGI these days, but I can’t imagine myself playing the new Wonder Woman [Laughs]. I’d try it! I’d love to play Solomon Grundy. I’ve got the hair and dialogue down. I’d love to. We’ll see what happens. Who knows? I’m putting it out there. Hey, [James Gunn]!”

What has Kristian Nairn been doing after Game of Thrones?

Nairn has been an active DJ even before he got famous as Game of Thrones’ Hodor, and often displays his skills at various fan conventions. He has appeared in various TV shows such as The Wil Wheaton Project, The Sidemen Show, The Rookie Wallace, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, and Our Flag Means Death, with a few minor appearances in films like The Appearance and Robin Hood The Rebellion.
