Kit Harington is still attending support groups after Game of Thrones
In today’s fast pacing world, we rarely make time for our family, let alone save some time for ourselves. Humanity is slowly losing touch with its emotions. This often leads to mental illnesses of one form or another. Filming a show as big as Game of Thrones can be quite intense for its cast and crew. And it took a severe toll on the show’s star Kit Harington’s mental health. He recently opened up on The View about how he still visits support groups at his rehabilitation center years after he first checked out.
Harington said, “I’m a big believer in talk therapy and I went through a lot of that when I went through the thing I went through. And I still to this day I have (for want of a better word) support groups that I go to where I talk and that helps me. And I do a lot of exercise which stops my brain from going crazy.”
“I think more needs to be done, especially for young men…to help them talk about things. It shocks me that the biggest killer of men under 45 is suicide.”
Going to therapy has helped Harington a lot, as we know that he initially wasn’t interested in returning to Westeros. He is now on his way to producing his own Jon Snow sequel, which speaks volumes about the work he has done upon himself.
