The Last of Us Season finale images provide a glimpse at Ashley Johnson (Original Ellie) as Ellie’s mother
HBO’s new hit The Last of Us is slowly creeping close to its season finale. After delivering one hit episode after the other, the series has been renewed for a second season at HBO, and the production might begin sooner than we expected. The show’s star and Game of Thrones alum Pedro Pascal recently hinted at the possibility of filming by the end of the ongoing year!
HBO recently released new images from The Last of Us season 1 finale, one of them showing a closer look at Ashley Johnson, who voiced and motion-captured Ellie in the original game.
Who does Ashley Johnson play in The Last of Us?
Ashley Johnson originally voiced Ellie in both The Last of Us Part I and Part II. She will be coming back to the franchise as Ellie’s mother, Anna, who was a member of the Fireflies. The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann has previously described his satisfaction on including her in the show, because he couldn’t explore her storyline in the game.

The Last of Us Episode 9 titled “Look for the Light,” is the conclusion to season 1. The finale will air next Sunday, March 12 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
