The Wall Game of Thrones - House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon is an homage to Game of Thrones, and while the original show’s fame benefited the prequel, the series stands on its own. The new HBO epic transported us to areas we hadn’t seen since Game of Thrones, and it appears that another snowy destination may be returning very soon. The Wall is set to appear in Season 2.

House of the Dragon sound editor Al Sirkett hints at the presence of The Wall in Season 2

House of the Dragon has secured multiple nominations in the 2023 Emmy Awards, including one for sound editing. Al Sirkett, who has been nominated for the same, recently talked to Gold Derby, and accidentally slipped up in the interview:

Al Sirkett ('House of the Dragon' sound editor): 'So much energy and passion' in season finale

” If we end up going back North to the Wall, there are so many things you can do, you can show the white snow but just have that screeching sound of the wind…”

Why House of the Dragon should return to The Wall?

One of the most recognizable and harsh landscapes to ever feature on Game of Thrones is The Wall. In House of the Dragon, we haven’t yet traveled to the North. To obtain assistance from Cregan Stark, the Warden of the North, Jacaerys must, according to Season 1, fly to the North. Therefore, it is extremely possible that they will travel to The Wall while they are negotiating.
