Here's how Jorah Mormont's return could spoil Cersei Lannister's plans

Game of Thrones Season 7 has been doing a really good job of living up to our expectations, and there are only three more episodes left to air. As we saw in the earlier episodes, Jorah Mormont, has been cured of Greyscale. Now that he can return back to join Khaleesi as she takes the Iron Throne, we have been waiting to see him, but haven’t yet gotten to. However, in the last episode of the show, titled ‘The Spoils of War‘, there was a really subtle hint that Jorah might play a big part in thwarting Cersei Lannister‘s master plan. Read on!

The hint came while Cersei was speaking to the Iron Banker, Tycho Nestoris, speaking of the crown. She said :

“My only venture at this moment is reestablishing control over this continent and every person on it. I need to expand my armies, my navies. My Hand, Qyburn, has made overtures to the Golden Company in Essos.”

The Golden Company is a collective of mercenaries in the Free Cities, the motto of which is “Our word is good as gold.” Cersei sounded like she will be using their services, which would mean that she will have 10,000 more soldiers in her army, and good ones, which is actually quite a smart move, considering she is about to get attacked. Now, if you might remember, Jorah Mormont fought in the Golden Company after he had to leave Westeros, and before he started working for Daenerys, and that might spoil this big plan.

Jorah is desperate to be on Daenerys’ good side, and we all know how fiercely loyal he is, which means that he might just find a way to get to the Golden Company, and have them side with Daenerys instead, which might even go to become the final nail in the Cersei’s coffin.

What do you think? Will Jorah Mormont rise to the occasion? Or will the play field be evened, and a hard-to-call battle will be seen as Dany tries to take the throne? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
