Game of Thrones star Indira Varma joins the cast of Mission: Impossible 7
In the world of movies, action movies are one of a kind, having a separate fan base all over the world. What makes these movies so special is the amazing action scenes involving our favourite heroes. Action movies have come a long way since the first action movie ‘The Great Train Robbery’ in 1903. These films are a spicy mix of drama, comedy, thrill and of course, a lot of action. Fantastical show Game of Thrones had some of the most spine-chilling action scenes. One of the show’s alums, Indira Varma, has now joined the cast of the upcoming action movie Mission: Impossible 7.
The Mission: Impossible franchise has grown a subsequent fan following in the past two decades. The almost impossible and goosebump-inducing stunts are one of a kind that defines the action-thriller series.
The upcoming action-adventure film from Paramount Pictures also stars Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett and Frederick Schmidt, reprising their roles in the franchise.
The Tom Cruise starrer also has Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, and Esai Morales as franchise newcomers joining the film. Mission: Impossible 7” is scheduled to release on Nov. 19 and a sequel, which is being filmed back-to-back, is slated for Nov. 4, 2022.
Varma is currently starring in the ABC drama For Life. Are you excited about Mission: Impossible 7? Talk to us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones ended nearly two years ago. The widely successful series left a blank on its wrapping up, reducing the viewership at HBO by nearly 50%. The television network is trying to win its audience back with a full-on effort with Game of Thrones prequels. First in the line is House of The Dragon, which is the only show confirmed so far. HBO has managed to create a huge hype for the upcoming series, by launching a teaser in their epic programming line-up for 2021-22. The big players have already been cast. Recently, an audition tape was leaked that hinted at the casting of the legendary Kingsguard twins – the Cargyll brothers.
Video was publicly shared by brothers John and Michael Cooke auditioning for the roles of ‘Edgar‘ and ‘Armand‘ in a project titled ‘Red Gun‘. It’s been known for a while that ‘Red Gun’ is the code-name used by HBO for House of the Dragon. The video was later removed, as reported by Redanian Intelligence.
The video dialogue made it pretty clear that it was indeed shot for a Westeros setting. It’s an established industry practice to use codenames with the same initials as the characters they are for. Conveniently, there are the Kingsguard twin-brothers Arryk and Erryk Cargyll that fit the formula. Both played a prominent role during the Dance of the Dragons, fighting on opposite sides of the war. Based on this and the dialogue, we can assume that ‘Armand’ is Arryk and ‘Edgar’ is Erryk.

The Red Wedding year 2020 was full of hardships for people all around the world. The majority of the population lost their jobs, their homes and their lives. The scenario was similar to what happened during the two World Wars. It took a lot of time for the world to get back on its feet. The BBC has announced the cast for SAS: Rogue Heroes, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight’s dramatized account of how Britain’s Special Forces unit was formed in the darkest days of World War Two.
Connor Swindells (Sex Education) will play David Stirling, with Jack O’Connell (The North Water) as Paddy Mayne. Alfie Allen (Game Of Thrones) as Jock Lewes, and Sofia Boutella (Modern Love) as Eve. Dominic West (The Wire) will play Lieutenant Colonel Wrangel Clarke. The series is produced by Banijay-owned Kudos.
SAS: Rogue Heroes centres on Stirling, an eccentric young officer, hospitalized after a training exercise went wrong. Convinced that traditional commando units don’t work, he creates a radical plan that flies in the face of all accepted rules of modern warfare. He fights for permission to recruit the toughest, boldest, and brightest soldiers for a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines.
Alfie Allen is currently starring in BBC’s Harlots. Are you excited about the upcoming series? Talk to us in the comments below!
Game of Thrones was a story that showed how different characters go through a series of transformation over time. These occurred either due to the character’s own choices or were forced by a situation. Two of the show’s alum, Iain Glenn and Owen Teale, have once again teamed up for Amazon’s The Rig. They played Ser Jorah Mormont and Ser Alliser Thorneon on Game of Thrones, respectively.
Amazon Prime Video has revealed the casting for the UK Amazon Original series The Rig. It is set to film in Scotland later this month on an oil rig. Iain Glen will play Magnus MacMillan, the offshore installation manager of the Kinloch Bravo rig and leader of the crew. Owen Teale will be playing the role of head driller Lars Hutton.
According to Amazon’s website, the series follows Magnus and his crew aboard the Kinloch Bravo oil rig. It is stationed off the Scottish coast in the dangerous waters of the North Sea. When they are due to be collected and return to the mainland a mysterious and all-enveloping fog rolls through.
The rig is hit by massive tremors, and they find themselves cut off from all communication with the shore and the outside world. As the crew endeavour to discover what’s driving this unknown force. A major accident forces them to ask questions about who they can really trust.
Iain Glenn recently played a shady role in the movie The Racer. Are you excited about The Rig? Talk to us in the comments below!
