Game of Thrones Season 7 saw a few characters being eliminated from the storyline. The fans have had an issue with how the Dorne storyline was handled on the show, and this season we saw Ellaria Sand and her daughter Tyene being written out of the show with that poetic yet horrible death scene, although we didn’t get to see the exact moment of death.

Indira Verma, who played the role of Ellaria Sand, recently spoke about the scene, in Game Revealed, and apparently at one point it got too real. Read on!

Now if you can’t remember, the scene had a captured Ellaria and Tyene, who were chained to the wall by Cersei, and we saw Tyene being killed by Cersei the exact same way Ellaria had killed Cersei’s daughter, Myrcella. Watch the video, below :

Indira talked about the scene :

“Rosabell (Tyene) and I had to wear manacles and we were tied to the wall and we had trouble, because either they’d come undone, because we were fighting against them, or couldn’t get them off. Literally, at the end of the day, I was like ‘mate, I can’t get it off, can someone help me?’ and everyone’s gone. Pete from props is like, ‘I think we need a saw,’ and I had to be sawn out.”

The scene was apparently the first scene the production shot for Season 7, revealed director Mark Mylod :

“It was literally the first day shooting of the season, and it’s a four-and-a-half page, incredibly intense scene. So it was a heck of a thing to ask Indira and Lena and Rosa to drop into on day one of shooting.”

So looks like we won’t be seeing the Sand Snakes on what’s left of Game of Thrones, which, for most fans, will be a better alternative than butchering up the storyline even further. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
