Kae Alexander turns over a new ‘Leaf’ with Amazon’s “The Wheel of Time”
Fantasy is a sweet escape from reality. Especially in the world we currently live in. The cast of Game of Thrones have played a major role in forging one such dream world. They created a dreamy break off from the boring chores we drudge through, every day. One such beautiful landscape was brought to perfection, with the help of ‘Children of the Forest‘, beyond the great wall of Night’s Watch.
Kae Alexander, who played the leader of the Children of the Forest on Game of Thrones has signed up for the new Amazon epic, “The Wheel of Time”. Kae delivered a fantastic performance as Leaf, wearing heavy prosthetics which took almost 9-10 hours to put up. She will be playing the role of the fan favourite ‘Min Farshaw‘, as announced on the showrunner’s twitter handle.
And at long last — we have MIN!!!!! Perhaps now people can stop asphyxiating over whether she’s been cut ? https://t.co/jfmAS6SBIn

The series is based on the magical world of Robert Jordan’s novel of the same name. The character is based on the badass future-viewing ‘Truth speaker‘. She also happens to be exceptionally good with knives and is the second love interest of “The Dragon Reborn”. It’s a far cry from the gentle and meek Children of the Forest, who prefer to stay hidden. It would be interesting to see Kae transform from meek (Leaf) to a bold (Min) role.
Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Larr Mondragon and Rick Selvage of Red Eagle Entertainment, Ted Field and Mike Weber of Radar Pictures are adapting the novel for TV. The production began in September 2019, with the show premiering on an unspecified date in 2021. The show also stars Oscar nominee Sophie Okonedo, Kate Fleetwood, Peter Frenzen and Clare Perkins. The series shows huge promise in the live adaptation with an equally amazing cast.
Many of the show’s stars have moved on to new projects, like Gethin Anthony (Renly Baratheon) in Welcome to the Powder Keg. What are your thoughts about the upcoming series? Tell us in the comments below.
