Working on a project as big as Game of Thrones is a once in a lifetime experience. The fame that comes with being part of something so big exceeds that of the fortune you inherit from the show. People begin to recognize you by your character and remember you by your contribution. Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn left an everlasting mark in the minds of the viewers with his performance as Hodor. Even with his limited time on the show, Bran Stark’s humble protector kept the audience hooked till his last scene.

Nairn has been added to the cast of HBO Max’s pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death. The actor-DJ has been cast as Wee John Feeney, a pirate on the show. Since ending his work on Thrones, Nairn also appeared in the films The Appearance and Robin Hood: The Rebellion.

Our Flag Means Death stars Oscar winner Taika Waititi (The Thor: Ragnarok) as the feared pirate Blackbeard. Waititi will also direct the pilot and executive produce the project.

The story is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet, a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. The project is from series creator and showrunner David Jenkins.

Nairn was last seen promoting World of Warcraft with Game of Thrones co-star Isaac Hempstead-Wright. Are you excited about the upcoming pirate comedy? Talk to us in the comments below!

When it comes to action-filled sci-fi futuristic movies, the Matrix series is in its own right a cult classic. The amazing fight sequences and mind-boggling CGI keep the audience hooked each time they watch the series. No wonder ever since its announcement, Matrix 4 has been showing up all over the news. The latest installment of the movie series brings back the iconic heroes from the previous trilogy and also features some new key players. One of the new members to be added is Game of Thrones alum Jessica Yu Li Henwick, famous for playing Nymeria Sand, one of the three Sand Sisters from Dorne. Henwick has dropped some intriguing hints about what her character gets up to in the much-anticipated Matrix 4.

The sequel, which is coming 18 years after the third Matrix movie, stars actress Jessica Henwick in an undisclosed role. While we can only guess at what part she plays in the movie’s events right now. Henwick has revealed to Empire magazine that she managed to secure most of her Matrix wishlist items while on set.

“I grew up thinking Matrix was the coolest thing ever. Bullet-time, the multiple agents, the pills, and the rabbit!” she said. “When I signed on, I said the three things I want are a leather jacket, sunglasses, and some wirework. I got two out of the three – I’ll leave you to guess which ones.”

“I haven’t seen a cut of the film, so I don’t know what’s in it and what isn’t, but I trained every day for months,” she said. “There are a couple of cast members who didn’t have any physical stuff and they were so sad. How can you be in The Matrix and not get to do any of the good stuff?”

Jessica Henwick will also appear alongside her Game of Thrones co-star DeObia Oparei in the upcoming film The Gray man. Are you excited about Matrix 4? Talk to us in the comments below!

Most people around the world are familiar with Norse Mythology, thanks to MCU’s Thor. Now brace yourself for Zack Snyder’s version of the lore. And we are expecting a hell lot of serious action scenes, though in an animated version. What’s even better is the fact two of Game of Thrones alum, Pilou Asbæk and Kristofer Hivju, will be playing major roles in the show.

As announced during Netflix’s Geeked Week, Snyder has called together the Norse gods for his upcoming mythology-inspired animated series. John Noble (Fringe) will voice king of the Norse gods, Odin, Pilou Asbæk will voice thunder god Thor, and Paterson Joseph (Timeless) will voice trickster Loki.

The cast also features Lauren Cohan as Inge, Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) as Sigrid, Stuart Martin (Medici) as Leif. Rahul Kohli (The Haunting of Bly Manor) as Egill, Jamie Clayton (Sense8) as The Seid-Kona, Kristofer Hivju as Andvari. Peter Stormare (American Gods) as Ulfer, Jamie Chung (The Gifted) as Hel, and Corey Stoll (House of Cards) as Hrafnkel.

We can expect a lot of gore and blood, just like the animated series Invincible. Pilou will also be joining fellow Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa on the sets of Aquaman 2.

The world is full of mysteries. Some are beautiful in nature like the working of the universe. Others, grimmer in context, are created by humans. Mostly, these enigmas are cover-ups for misdeeds of the past. They appear to be vastly different from what they usually are, and hence complicate the real story. There are many real-life astounding stories of how criminals have tried to keep their acts under layers of lies and shadows. It takes decades of investigation to get to their roots. Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner has joined HBO Max’s adaptation of The Staircase.

Inspired by the Netflix’s true-crime documentary series, this star-studded drama already boasts a cast list including Toni Collette, Colin Firth, Juliette Binoche, Rosemarie DeWitt and Parker Posey. Sophie will portray one of convicted killer Michael Peterson’s adopted daughters, Margaret Ratliff.

Written by co-executive producers, The Devil All the Time’s Antonio Campos and American Crime Story’s Maggie Cohn. The series centres on Michael (played by Firth) and the mysterious death of his wife Kathleen (Collette).

Campos will also direct six of the eight episodes. Little Fires Everywhere star DeWitt is on board as Kathleen’s sister Candace Zamperini. The Good Wife’s Posey will play Freda Black – the assistant district attorney and prosecutor in the murder case.

Sophie will also be seen in the thriller movie Heavy. Are you excited about Sophie Turner’s return to HBO? Talk to us in the comments below!
