As the world adapts to the problems of COVID-19, work is resuming slowly but steadily. Workplaces of high density are still not operating properly, with only a small percent of the workforce back in the offices. While the tech industry can afford the work-from-home routine for its projects, it’s just not possible for the film/entertainment industry to function like that. Real-time filming has come to a halt for some period now, and only pre and post-production work seems like the possibility. So, it has helped at least those projects which had completed shooting before the lockdowns kicked in. In that spirit, we have some good news. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has let us know that Marvel’s The Eternals has finished its filming schedule. Thus, the key film in Phase four of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) may sick to its original release date in 2021.

Harington plays Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight, in The Eternals; which would most likely be the 25th superhero film in the MCU. In a discussion on Twitter, he shared the current update on the film. “Well, that’s done, that’s filmed,” Kit said. However, that’s the extent of his knowledge regarding the film’s situation. Since the effects of the pandemic have been varying and unpredictable in many cases, it’s tough to be sure. “It’s just…God knows what happened, or what’s going on with it, I have no idea. I don’t know what’s happening with anything right now,” the English actor admitted.

Kit is not the only Game of Thrones star in the cast of The Eternals; there is also Richard Madden (Robb Stark) who plays Ikaris, one of the Eternals. Moreover, the film has a rich cast in Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and many more. The fourth phase of MCU has a variety of films and TV series lined up; which would carry the baton of the Marvel Comics forward after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Eternals is set to release on February 12, 2021, in the United States. We hope it stays on course.

The epic show Game of Thrones was infamous for killing off some of the best fan-favourite characters. These gruesome deaths helped to generate motive and a sense of revenge in the story. As the sixth season of HBO’s epic fantasy Game of Thrones drew to a close. The series’ most vengeful character Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) finally got her revenge against her own populace. After facing humiliation at the hands of the people of her city of King’s Landing. She was facing trial for crimes including adultery, incest, and regicide. Cersei doesn’t attend her trial but waits until all of her enemies are waiting in the Sept of Baelor.

However, one of the performers whose character was murdered by Cersei feels at peace. Natalie Dormer, who played the beautiful and cunning Margaery Tyrell, recently told Variety that she thinks Margaery exited the series at the perfect moment.

“I got the golden ticket, the perfect length of time,” Dormer admitted, “I watched Season 1 as a fan, came in the second season, did a good solid five years just as the show had this incredible explosion, and then I got out in time to watch the end and sit on the couch again.”

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also seems to be happy about the way his character died. What do you think about Tyrell’s death on Game of Thrones? Tell us in the comments below!

HBO announced the Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon last year, and it was confirmed in the teaser that followed. Ever since the fans have been on their toes regarding any news about the upcoming prequel. The cast that has been assigned yet are also very excited. Actress Olivia Cooke, who will play Alicent Hightower, talked to Metro.uk about the same.

During the interview which marked the DVD release of the comedy thriller Pixie – in which Olivia plays a character on a mission to avenge the death of her mother. The actress touched upon what kind of a person Alicent will turn out to be as an acquaintance of the Targaryen family.

Olivia said that while Pixie is ‘really manipulative and conniving and selfish’, Alicent is ‘very different’ by nature. This may imply that Alicent will be one of the more good-natured characters in the mix. A rarity in King’s Landing, but she’s not to be underestimated. Growing up in the Red Keep means that she knows what it takes to play the game of politics.

House of The Dragon is the first prequel series to Game of Thrones that was announced by HBO. Ever since it’s confirmation in December, the show has created a huge hype amongst the fans. The hype fever has also caught up with the show’s cast. Actress Olivia Cooke will play the role of Alicent Hightower in the fantasy series. Her interview with Metro.co.uk hints at how excited she is about the show.

Olivia revealed she finished watching Game of Thrones in a couple of weeks with her mom after her casting. She noted that now that she’s seen the whole series, she ‘understands the hype’. Cooke added, “It’s so well done and the story is so amazing.”

The actress admitted that she would have found it difficult to wait for weekly episodes to come during Game of Thrones’ original run. “I don’t know how I would have done that really because I was so invested after the first season,” she said.

Now that she’s all caught up, she’s hoping House of the Dragon ‘lives up to expectations’. The HBO series is set for release in 2022, as hinted in the teaser.

Olivia is hopeful for the future and reflected back on the past year. She said, “I think this year especially has made me really evaluate my expectations and just be really grateful about whatever set and whatever character I get to play, within reason, to not really mourn the projects that I wish I’d have had too much and to really focus on the task at hand more because you just never know.”
