Issac Hempstead says Bran Stark's visions in the coming episodes will be extraordinary

Published

on

With every new episode of Season six of Game of Thrones, our anticipation levels have doubled because there is so little that’s revealed as of now but that is just enough to keep us waiting and hooked. Specially, the Tower of Joy scene in episode 3 was the much talked about scene before it was even telecast but it was a bit of a disappointment when the scene was showed for such a brief duration.

Still, Isaac Hempstead Wright, the actor who plays Bran Stark on the show says that the tower of Joy scene will not be what everyone is expecting. Now what everyone is expecting is that R+L= J, the much awaited theory.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Isaac said, “Every single vision, you’re learning something new, and you’re seeing a real bombshell, That’s what we’ll see in the next few episodes. There are no visions where we’re like, ‘Oh, well, cool, we kind of already knew that anyway.’ Every time it’s like, ‘Oh, wow! That’s extraordinary!’ There are a couple of visions coming up that I’m really excited to see.”

Isaac also spoke about what he thought of Bran’s father, Ned and how it changed after seeing him win a fight in a dirty manner in the Tower of Joy and said that, “Yeah, as far as he’s known, his father has been nothing but completely honorable and kind and generous and a good man. So Bran’s watching this fight, expecting it to go one way, with his father coming in to save the day. And there’s this great line where Bran says something like: “But father wins! I’ve heard the story a thousand times!” And clearly someone’s been lying. Bran sees that it was a dirty backstabbing, and that’s quite shocking for Bran. It’s a totally different side to his father that he hadn’t quite been exposed to before. All the sudden, here he is. His hero isn’t all that he’s quite cracked up to be, necessarily. It also raises some questions. There’s no arguing the fact that Ned was a good man, so whatever forced him to fight in that dishonorable way clearly must have been something quite enormous. It raises the question of why he did that, and what does it mean for the rest of us?”

Episode four must come soon and only then we will know.

Game of Thrones refined the way we view TV shows. One of the many reasons why the show reached great heights was its character development. When it comes to that category, no character has gone through greater change than the Kingslayer Jaime Lannister.

Played by Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jaime started out as a villain. He was responsible for crippling Brandon Stark after he accidentally discovered his incestuous relationship with his sister, Cersei. Jaime was the one who captured Ned Stark leading him to his execution at King’s Landing.

The author of the Game of Thrones books George R.R. Martin originally had different plans for Jaime Lannister. Fans got a glimpse of a 3-page reveal when Harper Collins, publisher of A Song of Ice and Fire, accidentally leaked it on Twitter. The tweet was later removed.

According to the script, Jaime Lannister was supposed to be one of the main antagonists. He was originally written to be a cruel-sadistic villain, who desired power over everything else. His lust for control over the realms even led him to sit on the Iron Throne for a while. The showrunners changed the script for the show.

The Kingslayer goes through a change of heart throughout the TV series. He protected Brienne of Tarth’s honor and saved her from the attack of a bear. The two eventually got close and shared a mutual respect. Jaime joined forces with the Starks and Daenerys to fight off the White Walkers.

His character was shown to be regretful of his past actions. He died trying to protect his sister when Daenerys attacked King’s Landing. He could never let go of his love for Cersei, which led to his downfall. To think that could have ended another way!

What do you think about the original story arc for Jaime? Tell us in the comments below.

Ever since its announcement, fans all around the world are going crazy over the rumors of casting for the Game of Thrones’ prequel House of the Dragon. Fans have been debating about the best choice for The Rogue Prince, Daemon Targaryen, over the last few weeks.

The House of the Dragon series is based on George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. The book covers the first 150 years of House Targaryen’s rule in Westeros. The show will be allegedly centered around The Dance of the Dragons, a civil war that happened about 170 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

The casting call for Daemon was recently published. It said that HBO seeks an actor between the ages of 40 and 50 years old. It solidifies the theory because Daemon was middle-aged when the civil war began.

The character description for Daemon is as follows:

The younger brother to King Viserys, Daemon wasn’t born with ‘naked ambition’ for the throne despite being in line for it. He’s less methodical and more impetuous. Not to mention easily bored… stumbling from one distraction to the next with the subconscious yet singular obsession with earning the love and acceptance of his brother the king. Most of Daemon’s joy is found at sword-point. But even as the most experienced warrior of his time, he vacillates between vile and heroic, making him the true rogue of the series.”

Full offense, Patrick Wilson could play Daemon Targaryen and I’d be DELIGHTED. https://t.co/bN5gAnyWfC

Some of the fans are expressing their trust issues online, saying the casting can either make or break the show. Some common fan choices for the role are Patrick Wilson, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, and Ian Somerhalder.

Who do you think would be the perfect choice? Let us know in the comments below.

Last week the world was deprived of another jewel that once shined bright over the big screen. The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of multi-talented actress, Diana Rigg. She passed away at her home on Thursday at the age of 82.

Diana was an important part of the Game of Thrones family. She played the role of wise and cunning ‘Queen of Thrones’ Lady Olenna Tyrell. Her journey began in 2013 with the introduction of the character in the series, and she made the character likeable in the common households.

Rigg’s presence is being deeply missed by her Game of Throne’s co-stars. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister on the show expressed his sentiments on Twitter.

Dame Diana Rigg . She always raised the bar with her incredible talent, intelligence and wit. An absolute joy and honor to work with. May her soul Rest In Peace https://t.co/BC4annah1H

— Nikolaj CosterWaldau (@nikolajcw) September 10, 2020

John Bradley, who played Samwell Tarly on the show tweeted:

Diana Rigg was just wonderful. But you all knew that already. Everybody did. Very sad news. #dianarigg

— John Bradley (@johnbradleywest) September 10, 2020

Another Game of Thrones star, Liam Cunningham, who played Sir Davos Seaworth, said on Twitter,

Rest in peace. A remarkable wonderful and enormously talented human being. https://t.co/50ZXLEe9vI

The official Game of Thrones Twitter account posted, “Be a dragon. The realm will always remember Diana Rigg.”

Be a dragon.
The realm will always remember Diana Rigg.

— Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) September 10, 2020

Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin also paid his respects :

I am late to post about this, but I was very saddened by the news of a couple recent deaths. The world of television and film lost a titan with the passing of Dame Diana Rigg. Such an amazing talent.   It was such an honor to have her on GAME OF THRONES as the Queen of Thorns… pic.twitter.com/kD3R3Fl7V9

— George RR Martin (@GRRMspeaking) September 14, 2020

Writer for the show Bryan Cogman tweeted:

Diana. Words in a tweet can’t possibly express what an incredible honor it was to write for her, work with her on set, and get to know her. Got lots of juicy showbiz stories out of her – everything from Sondheim to George Lazenby to Kermit the Frog… (thread) pic.twitter.com/IiQ5rA1Odi

— Bryan Cogman (@cogman_bryan) September 10, 2020

Mark Gatiss, who played Iron Banker Tycho Nestoris, said,

It was my great joy and privilege to have known Diana Rigg. From three slightly hysterical months at the Old Vic in ‘All About Mother’ to writing The Crimson Horror for Diana and her wonderful daughter Rachael. Flinty, fearless, fabulous. There will never be another. RIP pic.twitter.com/2EGc4MVx0S

— Mark Gatiss (@Markgatiss) September 10, 2020

From Pedro Pascal’s (Oberyn Martell) Instagram :

Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) posted on Instagram:

Nathalie Emmanuel, who played Missandei tweeted:

An icon and powerhouse left this world today… Rest in Peace Diana Rigg ✨✨✨ #RestinPeaceDianaRigg

— Nathalie Emmanuel (@missnemmanuel) September 10, 2020

Actor Flinn Jones, who played her on-screen grandson Loras Tyrell posted on his story :

Diana was a dazzling actress and a compassionate and kind human being. Her presence was comforting and inspiring for her co-stars, so was the beauty with which she executed her roles. Other than Game of Thrones, she starred in the 1960’s The Avengers, the Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and many more.

We as fans pray that her soul rests in peace. Please feel free to share your feelings with us in the comments below.
