Game of Thrones Season 8 is right around the corner with just less than 3 months left in it to air now that the month of January is almost over. And, it’s a confirmed thing that we are actually getting a full-length trailer of the final season of the series – all thanks to James Hibberd from Entertainment Weekly who has previously given us a lot of details about it. Talking about a full-length trailer, we’ve got you all another bigger update which suggests that each episode of the series is actually longer than or equal to 60 minutes. Read on.
Winter is almost upon us – literally, we’re facing the last of it yet, jokes apart, we now have lesser time to wait for it. And, the great news is that Orange Cinema – the French TV network which airs the series on television in France has revealed the episodes of the new season to be of feature-length which in their words are “XXL”.

Well, reading French for any of us will be a difficult thing which is why Winter is Coming broke it down for all of us – a special shoutout to them! What Premiere tweeted was that HBO has revealed to them that the first two episodes of the new season will be 60 minutes long each and the final four over 80 minutes – similar to the last episode ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’ from the seventh season.
We are totally sure that we will get an official announcement to confirm the same from HBO sooner or later. And, this is totally giving us vibes that we will have the best from Game of Thrones this time as the showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have promised us. Till then, let’s sail on the tide of speculations about each of the episodes if this news is actually to be believed!

“Winter is Coming” and it’s truly and officially coming on April 14. But, ahead of Game of Thrones Season 8, Finland welcomes you to a spooky Game of Thrones-themed ice hotel – make sure you are well equipped with dragonglass!
Located in Finnish Lapland near Kittilä, this hotel has been opened up by Lapland Hotels Snowvillage in collaboration with HBO Nordic. This hotel was built in just five weeks and this year, all the suites of this hotel were designed by sculptors from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland.
Equipped with a total of 16 suites – each one with a different sculpture on its wall both cosy as well as a spooky sleep with a warmer temperature of 23 degrees as compared to outside where the average temperature is nearly 10 degrees.
A bunch of other images are down here like the first one which reveals an icy tunnel entrance to the main hall batched up a number of house banners from Westeros – Targaryen, Baratheon, Stark, Tully, and others.
An icy feast table which will remind you of Cersei Lannister’s small council – make sure they serve you some good ale and the Hound’s f*cking chickens.
Next, are the skull of Balerion the Dread, which you probably saw in Season 7 under the Red Keep and a replica of the Sept of Baelor which sadly exists no more – all thanks to the Mad Queen Cersei Lannister!
The entry fee for the snow hotel is $20 and each suite will cost you around $550 and the entries will remain open through April 21, 2019. So, how many of you would like to visit this amazing Game of Thrones-themed ice hotel of Finland? Tell us in the comments.
Almost 85 days until the grand airing of the new season of Game of Thrones and yet the wait almost seems eternal. But, since we have Entertainment Weekly with us – there’s nothing to worry about much! They’ve got you covered with all the details of the new season. After the first image and an exclusive cover story revealing the opening scene of the final season, they now confirm via a small interview of the showrunners that we’ll soon get the official trailer.
James Hibberd from Entertainment Weekly talked to the showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss. Benioff wonders if trailers for a show like Game of Thrones were not a thing – though I believe, marketing has its own role to play in making it popular. According to Benioff:
“[David Lynch] was saying he wished there were no trailers…And it’s true, you could just go into a movie and see something completely fresh.”
And, the second showrunner Dan Weiss too had his own explanation of why they believe trailers take away the surprise factor from the show. He said:
“I wish there were no trailers…I just want somebody to say, ‘Trust me, go see this.’”
Yet, a big trailer or not – Game of Thrones Season 8 in itself is building up a big hype with what the last season left us with – many questions to be answered, especially what happens next? But, no worries as we are definitely getting the official trailer soon, as Weiss has said:
“We won’t though…Because then we went and saw Ready Player One with our kids and they played the Westworld trailer and it looked great. And we’re like, ‘Ah, we should do that.’”
Yet, Hibberd believes that:
“Unlike almost all other shows and movies, the hype around Game of Thrones is so huge that HBO doesn’t need to release a trailer many months in advance to build awareness and anticipation. And given the showrunners’ reluctance to release more advance footage than is necessary, it seems probable that we might only get one full trailer before the show returns in April (perhaps a main trailer, then a second with just a bit of extra footage the week before premiere, along with a couple 30-second ad spots — or something to that extent).”
We too believe that we are definitely getting a new trailer and of course, the official poster of the new season soon. When do you think HBO will drop the official trailer? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
