Game of Thrones had a bitter ending for Daenerys Targaryen, who was a hero to many of us fans. However, even past her death, there were numerous questions surrounding her, the biggest one of which was: did Drogon eat her dead body after he flew away with it? Now we have an answer.
As we reported, the Game of Thrones full series disc sets are here, and along with have arrived the deleted scenes and commentaries and other specials. As Entertainment Weekly reports, in the ‘making of’ feature of the series finale, showrunner David Benioff revealed that it was a firm no, after Emilia Clarke revealed that fans had told her dragons eat their masters.
It’s safe to say that he merely just carried Daenerys to Volantis, as David assured Emilia:
“Drogon’s not going to eat you. He’s not a cat. Did you see how gently he was nudging you?”
Well, there goes that. Now all we need is a clue that Daenerys was somehow revived and brought back to life, or that Drogon torched her corpse, because the Mother of Dragons just dead in the woods doesn’t sound all that great.
