As you might remember, Cersei had her revenge on Septa Unella at the end of Season 6. Septa Unella (Hannah Wadddingham) is left in the dungeons, fully at the mercy of the Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson). Now, we know things don’t turn out well for Septa Unella after Cersei swaggers out of the dungeons, in the show. However, a new commercial shows the Septa and the Mountain in a whole different light.
In a recent advertisement for Sodastream, a machine that lets you carbonate water on your own, Septa Unella does her “Shame!” routine, this time for a guy who is seen carrying sparkling water in plastic bottles, and soon other people join in to heckle him. Titled “Shame or Glory“, the advertisement then shows the guy bring the bottles to The Mountain, who then goes on to give plastic the much needed hate, and introduce Sodastream. Watch the ad below :
The little scene at the end shows the two enjoying a moment, which made us realize that Björnsson-Waddingham would actually make an adorable couple. If that weren’t enough, Björnsson had posted a video on his Instagram, featuring Wadddingham. Check it out below :
Now we know that seeing both of them as a couple is impossible but let’s talk about a modern-day Thrones fandom Beauty and the Beast love story. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
Emilia Clarke had a hilarious response to the Game Of Thrones Starbucks cup gaffe
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 had several awe-inspiring moments to be sure. But the one that hogged all the limelight was a Starbuck cup sitting pretty in front of Daenerys Targaryen on the Winterfell high table. Fans have been pointing to Emilia Clarke as the Mother of the Starbucks Gaffe. Emilia finally addressed those accusations on Thursday and promptly passed up the blame to – wait for it – Jason Momoa!
Yep, that’s right. Khal Drogo was supposedly passing by Winterfell and sneaked in to mark his presence on the screen!
Here’s Emilia’s Instagram post ‘explaining’ the situation. Her caption read: “Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea… oh and this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid-filming cuppa”.

Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea… oh and this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid filming cuppa….🔥 @prideofgypsies you so fire you make my hair turn blue. #forfuturereferenceileavethebagin #drogonyouhavemyheart4lyfe #familyvalues @gameofthrones #forthethrone #forthecaffeine #forthedragons #🔥 #🙌 #❤️
The picture shows Emilia holding a Starbucks cup and posing with Momoa and Peter Dinklage. Emilia is trying to pass off herself as the mere ‘cupbearer’ and implying it was Momoa who was actually drinking from that infamous cup when he visited the set.
The cup, in reality, was not even from Starbucks and was soon removed from the frame. But that didn’t stop everyone from making some hilarious connections. HBO offered a funny response saying: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered a herbal tea.” Liam Cunningham (who plays Davos Seaworth on the show) brought a Starbuck cup to his interview on Conan, and claimed it found its way there “probably because Emilia drinks too much coffee.”
But now the Mother of Dragon has spoken, and have absolved herself of any blame in the whole matter. All of us plebs can go home now!
There was a Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 4 “The Last of the Starks”
Game of Thrones is one of the best TV series to ever grace the medium, and we have come to expect a lot of things from it. However, it’s impossible to always get everything right, and there are often some mistakes left in the final edit. One such mistake happened in today’s episode, Game of Thrones Season 8, episode 4, “The Last of the Starks” where a Starbucks coffee cup was spotted in the middle of the scene, and the internet was not having it. Read on!
Now, this happened in a scene where see Tormund, very drunk, praising Jon Snow for all of his accomplishments. In the background, Daenerys is sitting at the table, spiralling into paranoia about Jon’s natural charisma and how much he is loved in the North. For a second, we see the shot pan out, and there’s a Starbucks coffee cup right next to Emilia Clarke. The fans had a field day after seeing this little goof, and it became an instant meme:

Is it me or did Sansa plant the Starbucks cup in front of Dany as part of an elaborate plan to take her down? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/O4tvoiyDxd

Emilia Clarke dresses up as Jon Snow and pranks people in Times Square to promote her charity
Game of Thrones is on the cusp of its greatest battle ever, in the upcoming episode, which will be the third episode of the season and it leaves just 3 more episodes before the series gets over. In the meantime, Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, has been out at Times Square in New York promoting her charity, dressed as Jon Snow, and promising a chance to watch the series finale with her. Read on!
Now, as a Game of Thrones fan, you must be aware of Omaze, which is a platform that teams up often with Game of Thrones stars for charitable with personalised rewards. The latest is a chance to meet Emilia Clarke and support her charity SameYou, that works towards raising awareness for brain aneurysms and strokes. Emilia took the creative route to promote this. Check it out, below:
It looks like Emilia could make a compelling Jon Snow, almost as well as she did Daenerys. Her portrayal of Kit Harington‘s grumpy boy in black is brilliant, and it’s even funnier that she is doing it with an unsuspecting crowd at Times Square, most of which seem to have never watched Game of Thrones. Emilia also manages to sneak in a joke about her former on-screen partner, Jason Momoa.
Well, you can head over to Omaze and donate to her charity to become eligible to win the prize, here. Are you going to? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
