Game of Thrones stars Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams get matching tattoos

Game of Thrones has begun its initial filming in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and after the sightings of major stars of the show in the city, including Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), the sightings continue. The stars are going around the town and having outings together, and Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, the resident best friends of the Game of Thrones cast, have stolen the show with their adventures.

Sophie and Maisie have shared a few pictures on their respective Instagrams about their outings in Belfast, and one of them was where Maisie got herself a tattoo when the two were out for shopping and stopped at a tattoo parlour for Maisie. Though it hasn’t been revealed what tattoo Maisie got on her arm since it was still covered  in a bandage, there are reports that Maisie has gotten a tattoo same as one Sophie has. The tattoo artist posted a picture captioned “Got to tattoo these gorgeous girlies today.”

Although we still don’t know what the tattoo is, based on what the artist commented on her post, the tattoo is that of a date. And when a fan asked what date it is, the artist replied saying, “I’ll let [Maisie Williams] post it first as she wanted to be the first to show it and don’t want to tell everyone before her 🙂 it was a matching one that [S]ophie got too x.”

Later, Maisie posted a picture on her Instagram with the caption ‘07.08.09’, so we can assume that that’s what the tattoo says.

Why the date would be important, is because August 7, 2009 was the date that Maisie and Sophie were cast on Game of Thrones as Arya and Sansa respectively. Since it’s a throwback to the start of their friendship, that could just be what the tattoo says. We’ll just have to wait to see it when Maisie or Sophie share it themselves.

Deleted scene from Game of Thrones Season 8 shows another brutal character death

Game of Thrones deleted scenes have been pouring out on the internet, now that the full series disc sets are here. We have reported about a couple of them, including one that showed Daenerys get the northern hate. The one we have today, comes from IGN, and it shows a death scene that was skipped from the episode, likely because the character isn’t considered that important. Read on!

Now, the character we’re talking about here is Alys Karstark, and the episode in question is Season 8, Episode 3, “The Long Night”. This deleted scene shows Alys meet her end while trying to protect Bran Stark in the Godswood. Check it out:

Well, it looks like Theon Greyjoy wasn’t the only guy that lost his life trying to look out for Bran Stark, and Alys deserves at least some credit for being one of the many to buy enough time for Arya Stark to swoop in and save the day.

This could’ve easily been kept in the episode. I mean, it’s game of Thrones, and it’s the most important big battle of the show. Surely one more death couldn’t have hurt.

Sophie Turner discusses her final Game of Thrones scene as Sansa Stark

Game of Thrones deleted scenes and special feature types are flying all over the Internet, now that HBO has released the full series disc sets of the show. We have been reporting about many of these, and this one involves Sophie Turner discuss her final scene on the show as Sansa Stark. Read on!

The video was posted to Twitter, and it shows Sophie, dressed as Sansa, discuss her final scene on the show. Take a gander:

Sophie said:

“I think it was just so overwhelming, and I kind of kept reading and re-reading, and I felt a bit numb afterwards because I never thought I would be reading the final scene.”

Now, knowing Game of Thrones, there was always a risk that a major character could just drop dead, and Sophie feared this for Sansa as well. However, as we now know, she made it to the end, and she did really well. Speaking of that, Sophie said:

“It’s very gratifying. It’s great that she ends up being Queen in the North, and I think it’s the place where she really feels like she belongs. And I think it’s a really just, happy, good ending for her, which I was never expecting.”

Well, we know that was one character ending that we absolutely loved. What about you guys? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Daenerys gets the northern hate in deleted scene from Game of Thrones Season 8

Game of Thrones series disc sets are here, and we have seen deleted scenes from the show flood the internet as a result of that. Among these, was one showed Daenerys and Jon walk through Winterfell. Read on!

This scene fits into the timeline at the point when Winterfell is preparing for the battle. Jon and Daenerys take a walk through, looking at the preparations, and Daenerys gets some hateful looks from the Northeners. Check it out:

This actually would have fit well in the preparation sequence, and added to the overall unwelcomeness that we saw Daenerys get in the north in Season 8. It wasn’t necessary though, and probably why it was left out. We also saw Daenerys’ unsullied stop for her, but we didn’t really need to be reminded of their loyalty, making the scene even less required.

That being said, they could have just left it in. Not like we would complain about too much of Game of Thrones, right?
