Fans point out a four-legged dragon sigil in Targaryen banner being used in House of The Dragon shoot at Aldershot

Fans point out a glaring mistake in Targaryen banner being used in House of The Dragon shoot at Aldershot

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving fast with its production, and we can expect a spring release in 2022. Most of the main characters have been cast, and HBO has officially declared who’s playing who in the much-awaited prequel. With set pictures leaking quite often on the internet, the fans are getting a glimpse of more cast members in action. Recently a few pictures were leaked via Portal House of The Dragon Brasil from the House of The Dragon set in Aldershot, and one particular shot is baffling some sharp-eyed fans.

A close up picture of the Targaryen banner being used on the set is revealing quite a few details about the show. One of them is the letters ‘V’ and ‘A’ being inscribed at the top of the artwork. That probably points to King Viserys Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower, who must have been there for a ceremony.

The second is that the banner depicts the Targaryen sigil quite different from the one we are more familiar with. Instead of the two-legged dragon, signifying the majestic magical beasts that we’ve all grown to love since our time watching Game of Thrones, the sigil shows a four-legged variant.

We don’t know yet if it was just a mistake or if HBO is planning to go on with dragons being four-legged creatures in the show, contrary to George R. R. Martin’s preference and also to Game of Thrones lore.

House of The Dragon: Filming period in Caceres extended as an important crew member tests positive for COVID-19 on the last day of schedule

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon was progressing with its filming with a swift pace so far, until recently. The production has come to a sudden halt as one of the important crew members has tested positive for COVID-19 on the last day of shoot in Caceres, forcing the team to extend their stay.

According to the local newspaper Hoy, one of the main members of the recording team, who was responsible for filming a lot of crucial scenes, contracted the virus and was immediately quarantined.

House of The Dragon has faced similar situations before in the past, when the shoot had to be postponed for a few days due to a positive covid case. Hopefully, they will recover from the jolt soon, and continue with their shoot.

This might cause some delay in the filming of the Game of Thrones prequel in Monsanto, where the shooting is supposed to take place from 26th October.

When do you think the production will be back on track? Talk to us in the comments below!
