Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving fast with its production, and we can expect a spring release in 2022. Most of the main characters have been cast, and HBO has officially declared who’s playing who in the much-awaited prequel. With set pictures leaking quite often on the internet, the fans are getting a glimpse of more cast members in action. Recently a few pictures were leaked via Portal House of The Dragon Brasil from the House of The Dragon set in Aldershot, and one particular shot is baffling some sharp-eyed fans.

A close up picture of the Targaryen banner being used on the set is revealing quite a few details about the show. One of them is the letters ‘V’ and ‘A’ being inscribed at the top of the artwork. That probably points to King Viserys Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower, who must have been there for a ceremony.

The second is that the banner depicts the Targaryen sigil quite different from the one we are familiar with. Instead of the two-legged dragon, signifying the majestic magical beings that we’ve all grown to love since our time watching Game of Thrones, the sigil shows a four-legged variant.

We don’t know yet if it was just a mistake or if HBO is planning to go on with dragons being four-legged creatures in the show, contrary to George R. R. Martin’s preference and also to Game of Thrones lore.
