Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the topmost priority projects at HBO currently. The series is fast on its way for a release in 2022. A lot of key players have been set, and we see pictures of the filming being leaked almost every other day. Recently, one more name was added to the list of actors, and this time it is Tony Woodhead.

According to his online acting profile Woodhead will be playing a character named Ser Rylan Mallister. There have been a few speculations about who the character is, as no such character exists in Fire & Blood. However, House Mallister is a real house. They’re based in the Riverlands and have a generations-long vendetta against the Ironborn, who try to raid their lands. They have been mentioned in A Song of Ice and Fire a few times.

HBO has been known to be super-secretive when it comes to revealing details about high priority projects. What if Rylan Mallister is a completely new character developed solely for the prequel show? Or is it the nickname of a character that exists in the book?

There are so many questions that need to be answered. Hopefully we’ll get more clarification in near future. Stay tuned for more updates on House of The Dragon!

There has been nominated official announcement from HBO yet, but we know that is the case with a lot of actors. For instance, we have no information yet as to what role Graham McTavish will play on the show, but we know he’s there. For Jonny Weldon, however, we do have a name – “Samwell”.

Many fans on Reddit are speculating he might be up for the role of Samwell Blackwood, the head of House Blackwood in the Riverlands during the civil war known as Dance of the dragons.

Recently, another House of The Dragon cast member previously unknown came into the limelight. Actor David Horovitch has been cast for an unknown role in the show.

Alcock will play a younger version of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. Rhaenyra Targaryen is the eldest child of King Viserys I and the only one surviving from his first marriage. Viserys names her as his successor and moulds her to be a ruler right from her childhood. Her claims are challenged after her father’s death, when Alicent pushes her son Aegon II Targaryen for the Iron Throne. She is one of the main characters and will play a major role in House of the Dragon. Emma D’Arcy plays an older version of Rhaenyra.

She is the main adversary of Rhaenyra Targaryen, and pushes her eldest son, Aegon II Targaryen, to be the next king. She plays a key role in causing the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragon.
