Con Of Thrones cancelled for the Second Time in a row

Every year, A Song of Ice and Fire fans used to gather at the Con of Thrones to celebrate their love for the land of Westeros. However, due to the raging pandemic, the convention has been hit with cancellation, not once but twice. It was cancelled last year in 2020, as the world was hit with the first wave of coronavirus. Once again, the fan convention has been cancelled, this year in 2021, to avoid the further spread of the virus.

For the second year in a row, Mischief Management has decided to cancel Con of Thrones. This year’s event was due to take place in August, in Orlando, Florida. While things are safer now than they were, the pandemic has had collateral effects.

While we’re confident that the vaccination rate makes it safer for groups to gather, international travel restrictions and other factors make it so we’re not able to host Con of Thrones at the level that the community has come to expect,” Mischief Management said in a statement on the Con of Thrones website. We look forward to gathering again soon!

We are hard at work reimagining the event for the future, looking at alternative dates and locations so that we can gather again. We’ll keep you updated as these details come together!”

Tickets, autographs, photographs and the like will be refunded, while reservations at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, the official hotel partner of Con of Thrones, will be automatically cancelled.

Targaryens and Velaryons

Filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving very swiftly, as evident from the frequent leaks we’re witnessing with every passing day. Though HBO has been mum about revealing any more info about the show, these periodic leaks are causing waves of excitement amongst the fans, as they’re left wondering and speculating who’s who in the new set pictures. Fans have been wondering for a while about some of the key characters that have not been announced yet. Recently, a few more pictures were leaked, depicting the Targaryen and Velaryon families gathering up for a meet.

Recently a couple of pictures were leaked by House of The Dragon Brasil’s Twitter handle that showed a huge crowd of cast and crew getting ready for a scene. Several white/silver wigs were spotted, and though the faces are not clear because of the distance, we can make out a few characters who are present at the site.

Some of the key characters present on the set are Rhaenys Velaryon (Eve Best), Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock), Alicent Hightower (Emily Carey) and Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen). There are more wigged characters as well, but their face is not visible, but we can safely assume they might be Targaryens as well.

The filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is moving at a really swift pace, as shown by the frequent leaks that we’re witnessing every day. The more pictures we see, the more it gets clear that HBO is going to go deep into the Dance of the Dragons storyline, and cover more chapters from the books than we initially expected. More pictures from the set were leaked recently by The Daily Mail, and these new pictures provide a clearer perspective of Daemon Targaryen’s costume.

The newest photos show House of The Dragon star Matt Smith in Daemon Targaryen’s attire talking to a crew member. It seems like he was taking a break from shooting in some of these photos, spending some time playing with a puppy close to a house.

There are also some pictures of the shoot, one of them shows Matt Smith walking down a beach, and the cast and crew members discussing an important scene on the beach at a distance. We can spot some more Targaryens, by looking at the wigs they are wearing, they might be Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith himself.

got showrunners three- body problem

Game of Thrones was a memorable experience for both the fans and the show’s crew. Rarely do we see a TV show achieve massive popularity as Game of Thrones did in the last decade. Many of the show’s crew have moved on to new projects, including showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. They are working on a new sci-fi Netflix show the Three-Body Problem, and it seems they have found their director in Better Days fame Derek Tsang.

The reveal marks the first piece of official news about the mysterious project since it was announced last year. Three-Body Problem is set to be the first series with writer-producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss serving as showrunners since HBO’s Game of Thrones. Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy) also serves as a co-creator, writer and executive producer.

Benioff and Weiss, along with Alexander Woo are working together to adapt Liu Cixin’s bestseller “Three-Body Problem” for Netflix. The series will be covering all three books of the trilogy, namely, “The Three-Body Problem,” “The Dark Forest,” and “Death’s End.” The story revolves around the idea of humanity’s first contact with aliens. Netflix struck a deal with Yoozoo group for the rights to make an English adaptation of the trilogy.
