The definition of success is different for everyone. The year, 2020, however, redefined them. Many of us got closer to our family. It showed how we can survive together. The cast and crew of any show have a similar story. An actor’s success is often measured by the number of hit films or show’s he has been in. The success of Game of Thrones greatly amplified the careers of a number of artists. However, it could only be achieved by the harmonious work of everyone involved in the production. Game of Thrones and Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal recently talked to the Entertainment Weekly about success.

Pedro was named EW’s Entertainer of The Year 2020. He got candid in an interview, and said, “I want to make sure that my relationships are right, and I want to make sure I’m nurturing meaning in a sustaining way, and that won’t necessarily be related to getting good jobs and making lots of money.”

Pascal is hopeful about the new year. After all, he’s returning as a superhero in 2021, in Netflix’s We Can Be Heroes. He said, “If [fear] can take a little bit of a backseat and not be the main character in everybody’s life, that would be great.”

Game of Thrones’ Jason Momoa recalls playing Sober on his assistant’s birthday

There are times when people working with you become special to you. When someone is close to you, their birth date holds a special value. Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa is one of the most down-to-earth celebrities in the acting industry. The humble and handsome hunk is known for his habit of lighting up the lives of those around him. He once gifted a little Aquaman fan battling cancer his Trident from the movie Aquaman. He recalled one such incident in an interview with Guitar World.

It was his assistant’s birthday, and he wanted to make it special. Momoa recalled, “We were on the set of Aquaman. I always have instruments on the set, so my son was playing the drums and my daughter was playing the guitar. It was my assistant’s birthday, and she really loves Tool, so I borrowed a bass from my buddy and we all played Sober for her. Right then, my passion for bass really exploded. The moment I put it on, I could just feel the connection – and it was all over.”

He continued, “I always knew I wanted to play bass. After that I wanted to play standup, so I bought one and now it’s a passion for me, with how it makes me feel and how it sounds. I studied and studied and studied bass, and I was like ‘My God, I wish I would have done this when I was young.’ I wish that I had that opportunity –but I’m making up for the lost time.”

Game of Thrones actor Tim Landers talks about dating while maintaining social distancing

The Red Wedding year 2020 took a toll on our everyday life. It diminished our outgoing activities to a bare minimum. The COVID-19 pandemic forced people to stay behind closed doors and avoid any physical interaction. No wonder, the dating scenario under the lockdown period changed dramatically. Tim Landers, the Irish actor who played a brother of the Night’s Watch on Game of Thrones, recalled one such incident with Sunday World.

The 54-year-old actor participated in a reality TV show named First Dates. He reminisced, “It was the Gibson Hotel as usual and I had my mask on when I arrived up and was met by the production staff, who also had masks on. They explained what was going to happen. But they want to maintain I was just arriving on the date, so that was filmed later.”

“When I met Matteo (the maître d’) he was behind a screen when I met him when I came in. Then when the date started I was waiting at the bar at a seat two metres from him. When we were brought over to the table we were amazed to find there was a huge distance between us on a very long table, maybe four or five metres away from each other.”

“They had to do what they had to do under the precautions,” Tim points out. “I feel I was told everything. It wasn’t like I didn’t know, it was fine. And he was lovely, a very funny guy. We had a lot in common.”

Tim Landers revealed how Game of Thrones opened many doors for him

Game of Thrones was an astonishing tale that amassed record viewership in the past decade. The fantastical drama was an indispensable part of life for both the show’s crew and the audience. Many of the show’s cast members have admitted that the show influenced their life and career in a big way. (Like Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei)). Irish actor Tim Landers recently opened up about his time on Game of Thrones in an interview with Sunday World.

Landers landed the role of Kegs, one of the brothers at Night’s Watch. “I got the part of Kegs, I was one of the Night’s Watch,” he notes. “I had one line in episode eight, the Mountain and the Viper. It’s a very important line from the book, ‘the rains of Castamere’. The way I was treated was fantastic. They put me in a trailer and said ‘hang on there’ and it turned out the actor sharing it with me was Jason Barry, who is from Dublin and was in Titanic, which blew my mind.”

I remember arriving on set and I said ‘I’m in Lord of the Rings’, which I was a huge fan of, it was the closest I could put it down to.”

He added, “I didn’t get to meet to any of the big names but my buddy who plays my wench, we were in a brothel, my buddy was Lois Winstone, who is Ray Winstone’s daughter. We both get killed in the scene. I was killed off camera by a guy with a hatchet and she was killed by an arrow fired by Rose, the girl who’s married to Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) in real life.”
