Who wouldn’t want to go back to the time when everything was normal! It seems just yesterday when coronavirus was just a foreign scare for most of us. But now, it’s a global crisis that’s affecting people everywhere. People are at risk of losing their jobs and lives. Moreover, the people who do not have the luxury of quarantine, those who earn daily wages, might just have to starve. While our governments and health workers contain the disease, it’s the responsibility of the community to take care of its worst-hit members. And many among us are taking this task on their hands and doing their bit.

Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) has been active towards relief efforts and keeps us updated on them through Instagram. After inspiring people to wash their hands, he has teamed up with the climbing brand, So iLL to make masks and raise money through the sales for charity aimed at COVID-19 impact.

The American actor posted a video on Instagram yesterday; where he unveiled the unique design of the masks that he called “SO ILL MASKS”. These are useful as well as stylish with black and pink variants, which may make you look like a “ninja warrior”. “We wanted to make a mask to help with COVID and to raise funds for charity. This is my first look with wolfie super stoked to share and get it out. We launch a week from today more details to come,” Jason wrote. The masks are handmade by the US company, Snake Bite.

So iLL (Southern Illinois) is a company dedicated to the sport of climbing and everything related to it. They make climbing holds, shoes, bags, clothing, all meant to smoothen the art of climbing. Jason’s own fascination with the sport had earlier paved way for a collab in the name of “So iLL * On the Roam”.

This is not the only thing that Jason’s done for the people who are suffering due to coronavirus. Jason’s water company, Mananalu, sent 20,000 water cans to the families of the Navajo Nation. The Native American people from Navajo and Hopi suffer from a lack of access to running water and food. The lockdowns have left them stranded without any facilities.

Meanwhile, coronavirus has raged fire all over the globe with close to 3 million infected people and around 200,000 deaths. Celebrities from all fields are coming forward and helping through their donations. Leonardo DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna, Roger Federer, and the list goes on. They have contributed millions of dollars to Food Funds; various charities making PPEs and masks; and institutes vying to create a vaccine for COVID-19. Game of Thrones stars aren’t behind by any measure. While Isaac Hempstead Wright’s (Bran Stark) family donated PPEs for health workers, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and her husband, Joe Jonas donated meals to health workers of a Los Angeles hospital.

Although the virus is spreading rather quickly, the good news is that almost 840,000 people have recovered. Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) had informed us on Instagram that he feels cured of the disease after several weeks of self-isolation. We hope and pray that everyone gets well soon, including Indira Varma. A quiet reminder from us to protect yourself and your loved ones by practicing social distancing and other hygiene tips.
