Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas took up an adorable couples challenge on TikTok

It’s the generation of TikTok viral videos and no matter what we generally feel about them, we’ve all been caught giggling when we glimpse a good one. The current times of the internet, fueled with the space-time dimension of quarantine has increased our virtual seeking. And it recently made us stumble upon a cute clip of Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and her husband, Joe Jonas. The duo took up the TikTok ‘couples challenge’ to give us a quick glance into their equation.

The couple shot the challenge video on Joe’s TikTok account where an automated voice asked them a bunch of rapid-fire questions. Sophie and Joe, dressed in their casual home-wear, dived right into it. The first question thrown at the couple was “Who fell in love first?” Surprisingly, both were uncertain about who fell for the other first, but ultimately both pointed at themselves. It was quite a mutual affair we guess!

The rest of the answers were like a barrage of arrows aimed at the Queen in the North. She flicked them all without breaking a sweat, smiling all along with guilty pride. In the second question, we found out that Sophie is the more annoying one when she’s hungry. “Who is the homebody in the relationship?” There were no doubts here either. The fingers flew towards Sophie again. The ‘homebody’ part wasn’t much of a revelation though since we knew that from a recent video-chat between Sophie and Conan O’Brien.

The last two questions inquired, “Who’s more spoilt?” and “Who’s more grumpy?”. While Sophie kept her finger fairly pointed towards herself for both, Joe was totally spot on with her eagerness to signal that it’s his lovely wife.

If we were to give an award for the best quarantine couple, the trophy would definitely go to Mr. & Mrs. Jonas. The two have engaged their fans with some fun and innovative activities. Whether it’s an Instagram Q&A, asking people to practice social distancing, or a display of makeup skills, the rumored parents-to-be have been a quarantine funhouse. And we appreciate their enthusiasm during these grim times.

We hope all of you are observing the necessary practices; washing your hands regularly, not touching your face or eyes, and maintaining social distance. The coronavirus pandemic is actively affecting people all across the globe, but our active participation and constant vigil can defeat the virus and its disease. We wish you good health!

Emilia Clarke shines in a raw avatar in the latest trailer of her film Above Suspicion

Emilia Clarke shines in a raw avatar in the latest trailer of her film Above Suspicion

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you must have built an image of the cast of the show within their specific character frames. It becomes really hard to separate the actor from the character once you’ve seen them do a good job in a particular story. But it’s always pleasantly surprising to watch these actors perform roles which are very different from what we’ve seen. In that spirit, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is sure to catch you off guard with the latest trailer of her movie, Above Suspicion. It’s a thriller based on a true story that shook the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) in the late 1980s. The movie which first released in June 2019 is available on-demand via disc and digital platforms from July 13, 2020, in the UK. Read on to find out more.

Emilia Clarke plays Susan Smith, a local young woman in a small town in Kentucky, USA. Her troubled life has had its share of abuses and lack of love. Jack Huston plays Mark Putnam; a newly married FBI agent who’s come to the town to nab a serial bank robber. Susan’s own involvement with the underworld circles and her fascination for Mark guides her to become an informant for the FBI. Thus follows a dangerous affair that leads to a disaster for both and a scandal for the FBI; finally culminating in the first-ever murder conviction of an FBI agent. The movie follows the events from a nonfiction novel of the same name by Joe Sharkey; a former New York Times columnist. It also stars Sophie Lowe and Johnny Knoxville in key roles.

The critics have praised the against-the-grain casting of Emilia Clarke; whose bold performance brought out the human side of Susan with equal amounts of gusto and vulnerability. However, Chris Gerolmo’s screenplay and Philip Noyce’s direction has been a mixed bag for most; hitting through its gloomy pull and settings but missing a few beats with the narrative. The trailer walks us through a straight path to ruin through desperation and betrayal; marked by a beyond-the-grave voiceover of Susan Smith. Although the mother of dragons from GoT and Susan are quite different in their attitudes, both find themselves in a world where affection and validation from others (especially males) bring chaos.

So, what are your thoughts about the trailer and the film? Do tell us in the comments section below.

Kerry Ingram re-enacts Shireen’s death on TikTok and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s magazine cover on Instagram

Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon) reenacts Shireen's death on TikTok while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) posts a magazine cover on Instagram

All of us who have the liberty and luxury of self-isolating are trying to stay calm and centered through this tragedy. Coronavirus is affecting our people badly, but there’s little we can do at this moment. We can help those near to us but the news on the television screens is disturbing. Trying to escape the gloom, every now and then, we get a frivolous urge to wander around and indulge in the activities of our favorite celebrities. Game of Thrones stars are keeping themselves connected to the fans through social media. Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon) recently posted a TikTok video on her twitter account that might remind you of Shireen’s death; while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) posted a magazine cover he’s on for the April/May edition of 2020. Read on to find out more.

Kerry posted a TikTok video with a GoT reference on twitter; as she felt her followers on TikTok aren’t really familiar with Game of Thrones. “So I made this tik tok but turns out 99% of my followers on there aren’t GoT fans, so I’ll post it here for you guys,” she captioned it.

The video is in keeping with the ongoing trend of making a pose from one of your childhood photos and then showing that particular photo; meanwhile, the track “I’m Just a Kid” by Simple Plan plays in the background. The young actress who melted our hearts in GoT enters into the frame with the wooden stag that Ser Davos had gifted Shireen. She chose Shireen’s screaming pose from the time when she was about to burn to death. It’s not a fun memory to be reminded of, especially during these times of chaos and panic.

Nikolaj, on the other hand, featured on the cover of Haute Living, a lifestyle magazine, for the April/May months’ edition. “Thanks @hauteliving. Had a lot of fun doing this story,” he wrote on the Instagram post.

The shoot took place before the coronavirus lockdowns kicked in. The Danish actor wondered how quickly times have changed and it’s a whole new world now. “We did this shoot only a few months ago. Now it seems like in some parallel universe,” he further wrote. It certainly doesn’t feel like a familiar space anymore since people are facing problems that we couldn’t have imagined.

The cases of infection are still building up rapidly. With more than 4.6 million infected cases and 308,000 deaths, things do not look good. We hope the governments and the media take stock of the people who are suffering without food and shelter. It’s not just coronavirus that kills!

Watch Game of Thrones stars Jacob Anderson and Aidan Gillen shine in music videos

They say if you have the talent make the most of it. Well, some of our favorite actors from Game of Thrones are a talented bunch and they are making the most of it. Did you know Jacob Anderson is also known as Raleigh Ritchie? Also, did you know that Aidan Gillen has been part of a music video? Truth is stranger than fiction my dear friends, so read on to find out more!

As per NME, Anderson a.k.a Grey Worm of Thrones has released a new song called Aristocrats and also gave out the details of his next album Andy. What’s interesting is Anderson has been making music under his monicker, Raleigh Ritchie, and is slowly but surely climbing up the charts. Check out his latest song!

Anderson has been garnering a lot of views for his videos as well, one of his songs has so far fetched 8.4 million views! Check out the video!

Speaking about his latest album, Anderson said:

“Andy’ is a little wink to myself. It’s saying, ‘This is you speaking right now, this is you saying what you have to say.”

He also mentioned that through this song he was trying to explore Britain’s history in his own way. He said:

“British history is complicated, especially as a POC. [H]istory is everything, it’s what we learn from to help us build our future. In school, I didn’t learn much about British history aside from the country’s victories and a version of some of its atrocities. Sometimes it’s a confusing place, and although I love my country, I don’t always feel loved by it.”

Well, we found ‘Ritchie’ really talented and wish him a lot of success with his next outing. Speaking of, remember our tricky ‘Littlefinger’ of Thrones. Well, the amazingly talented Aidan Gillen too has taken part in a music video and it has left us rather inquisitive.

As per Evening Express, Gillen stars in a new music video of Irish post-punk band Fontaines DC. Gillen has been a huge fan of their work and so it must have been great to be part of their new video. Quite curiously, Gillen plays the character of a host in the video and we leave it up to you to decide if he succeeded in the new avatar. Check out the video!

Phew! That was interesting, wasn’t it? Who knew all these fabulous actors had so many shades within them? We hope you liked the videos and let’s continue to support them in these turbulent times. We all need something to cling on to don’t we?
