Game of Thrones ending will upset some fans, says Sophie Turner, promising a "very satisfying" end for Sansa

Game of Thrones Season 8 finale drops in a few hours, and we are getting some last minute teases right about now. As one of the very few characters who have made it to the end, the fans have been awfully proud of Sansa Stark, and it seems like she will have a good ending, if Sophie Turner, who plays the character, is to be believed. Sophie spoke to The Sunday Times Magazine about how the ending of the show might not please everybody. Speaking of her attachment to Sansa, she said:

“I’ve had a bit of an identity crisis to be honest, I’ve grown up for so many years as this character. If I wasn’t filming, I was promoting it, if I wasn’t promoting it then it was on TV. I was immersed in Sansa, so finally stepping out of it, I don’t actually know what I like to do or who I really am.”

She then went on to tease the finale of the show:

“It’s a great ending, from my perspective, it’s very satisfying. But I think a lot of people will be upset too.”

Well, given the show’s massive fan following, that was probably always bound to happen. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Cersei Lannister had a miscarriage in a deleted Game of Thrones scene, reveals Lena Headey

Cersei Lannister had a miscarriage in a deleted Game of Thrones scene, reveals Lena Headey

Game of Thrones was a very detailed show for the first six seasons, but then the showrunners decided to cut down on the episode count for the last two seasons. That resulted in a lot of loose ends, and quite a few deleted scenes, as we are now hearing. Lena Headey pinpointed one involving her character, Cersei Lannister, that was supposed to cover a miscarriage. Read on!

Lena was recently at Comic Con Germany, where she revealed that a deleted scene from Season 7 was supposed to have a scene showing Cersei losing the baby, reported The Wrap:

“We shot a scene that never made it into Season 7 which was where I lose the baby and it was a really traumatic, great moment for Cersei, and it never made it in and I kind of loved doing that because I thought it would have served her differently.”

Cersei pregnancy has been a hot topic on the show, as well as in the fandom. Nobody had any idea as to what was actually going on with it. Was Cersei actually pregnant? Who was the father? Did she lie about who the father was or about the pregnancy itself? Nobody knew, until now.

This revelation proves that Cersei was pregnant at some point in the story, and given that it was a Season 7 scene, the child was very likely to be Jaime’s. As for what Cersei did in Season 8, it’s likely that she lied her way through it.

Lena had recently also said that she felt that Cersei deserved a better death, so looks like at least one cast member is disgruntled about how things turned out. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Microsoft wants to make its Halo TV series like Game of Thrones ‘in scope and scale’

Microsoft wants to make its Halo TV series like Game of Thrones 'in scope and scale'

Game of Thrones has definitively transformed television production with its epic scale and complicated storytelling in the past decade. Showtime’s upcoming adaptation of Microsoft’s hugely popular video game series Halo is trying to pick up notes from its success, like a lot of other shows.

Kiki Wolfkill from 343 Industries (the developer helming the Halo adaptation) recently spoke to The AIAS Game Maker’s Notebook and revealed that they are aiming to make the show much like Game of Thrones “in terms of scope and scale and complexity of relationships.” In her words:

“A lot of the background of Halo is this sort of political drama. It’s something that [is touched on] really lightly in the games and you see more of in some of the other mediums. Some of that [Game of Thrones-style] complexity is interesting.”

However, there’s something that the Halo developers are definitely not trying to emulate from Game of Thrones: the incest. Wolfkill stated it quite clearly:

“No incest planned at all for this show, I’ll say that. If you’re looking for that, you won’t find it here.”

The Halo show is set to go into production this year and will star Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black fame) in a crucial role.

With the curtains finally coming down on Game of Thrones, many are scrambling to fill the gap left behind by the epic fantasy giant. The list of upcoming productions in the same vein includes HBO’s own Game of Thrones prequel ‘Bloodmoon’, Amazon’s Lord of the Rings, and Netflix’s upcoming show based on the Witcher games. It sure looks like some exciting times ahead for fantasy fans!

Sophie Turner discusses the Game of Thrones scene that had the "most embarrassing moment" of her career

Game of Thrones has had a lot of on-screen awkward moments, but some stick more to the stars than others. We have heard the stars discuss their most loved and most hated scenes from the show from time to time, but in a recent video interview bit, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa, discussed the most embarrassing moment of her career, which occurred on the sets of Game of Thrones. Read on!

The video in question is from Vogue Paris featuring a cross-interview over dinner, with between Sophie and Jessica Chastain, for the promotion of their movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Check the video out, below:

Sophie discussed her most embarrassing on-screen moment, which was a scene from Season 2, episode 7 of Game of Thrones, titled “A Man Without Honor” :

“When I was 13 or 14, I had to get my period onscreen. It was so embarrassing. I had to keep pulling up my dress and the director would [say] ‘Blood, blood,’ and like keep chucking blood on me. They had a camera right there in my crotch.”

Chastain asked her if the director was a man or a woman, but Sophie revealed that girls from the costume department did the job of smearing blood on her:

“So we were good”

Chastain also discussed her own embarrassing moment, which involved calling an actor by their name instead of their character’s name, during a sex scene. Still, seemed like a better bet than a young Sophie having to get blood smeared on herself repeatedly.
